So i've got a very very old compressor and i'm going to use it as vacuum pump. So here are some questions:
Does compressor need oil to work as vac pump ?
Is it dangerous for compressor cause it is very old (made in USSR)...
PS It works, i checked it...

Yes it needs oil, without oil it will break..

I have 2x Danfoss PW compressors, made in 50-60s i think. They work good as vacuumpump (not good, but hey it works :D).

make sure you put the "vacuum" compressor as low as possible. connect a hose to the high pressure side (the pipe where the air comes out of the compressor), and let it point up. Also make it long enough. 1m will suffice.

so the oil has to fight against the gravity to get up.
if some oil somehow manages to get in that hose/pipe, it wil flow back to the compressor.

OK understood great thx :)
I think i'll connect somthing like a bottle from coca-cola to see if there any bubbles in oil wich would be in bottle (it would show me if there are still some air in my system and vac pump works)

The compressor had oil in it to start with. If you added more oil, then there is now too much oil, and the excess will spit out the discharge.
