I just bought a punch swaging tool and it is extremely difficult hard to use. Can anybody tell me the right way to swage copper using a punch type.

I recently ordered one, but haven't tried it yet ... I thought it would be pretty easy to do, guess I was wrong.
How did you try to use it and "what happened" ?

A little oil will help pound it in. The hard part is holding the tube while you hammer it. A flaring block helps a lot.

Do like Gary said.. If you have a flaring tool. clamp the copper in it and flare it that way.
