Infinate loops in COD

I cannot seem to get rid of the infinate loops in COD. I have tried numerous drivers for my gfx card and sound card. I had this problem with my 5700U and now my 5900XT flashed to 5950U. I tried different drivers for my SB Live as well. I think it is the sound card as it is the sound that loops over and over and the screen locks and I have to restart. I have updated everything on my system I can think of.
Is it possible it is a RAM problem? I am only running 512MB (2x256 KHX 3200 in dual channel). Do you think I need a Gig of RAM?
Is the onboard sound any good on the IC7-G MaxII Advance?

Try taking out your Sound card and see if that helps. Before yu do that uninstall your SB drivers and install new ones, and if that doesn't work try disableing sound.
