superlocked bartons CAN't be unlocked by anything...nothing is conected to the multi niside...not even the pins on the inder side....

Sorry FireDragon, but you are wrong by saying that they can't be unlocked by anything. You should have read the link provided in the first post :)

Superlocked bartons cannot be unlocked in the traditional sense (allowing you to change multi in BIOS), but you can trick them to think they are a XP-M but bridging the L5. This opens up the "Power Now" features of a Mobile cpu :)

This doesn't work with an NF2 board, but does work on VIA boards. You still can't change the multi in the BIOS, but once in windows, you can change it to yor hearts content using CPU MSR :)

Yes I have done this & its not easy but it can be done. I dont know about the not working on Nforce board but mine is on a VIA & come to think about it My sons was on a VIA also. But it can be done.

The hard part is getting to desktop with a good divissor. It worked good with a 333 FSB chip but was not much help with a 266 chip.:stick:

i did the mod about three months ago!
It was very easy and it was my first mod ever! So my first mod to the CPU too!

Yeah, the Mod doesn't work on any nForce2 Boards, the System will feeze.
On my Board I had before, a KT400 Board (Epox 8K9A) the mod worked perfectly!

But i did the mod the old (more difficult) method.
In the new method you do following:
"Painting the 2nd L5 bridge(the one left to the mobile bridge) opens all mobile multipliers from 3x to 24x"

I opened all l6 bridges.
I could do the Mobile Mod with a normal Pencil und the cuts with a normal cutter.
But you should use something better to connect the bridges for getting a mobile. The Pencil isn't a very good tool for that.
