Hi there!

Do you guys know the best Prescott steppings of these 2 CPUs? I know, that the new D0 revision is very good for high-oc, but which stepping is the best? Do you think it`s possible to reach ~ 4 GHz(Prime-stable) with one of them @ watercooling?

Thx for your answers in advance. ;)

About the other one of your questions, i would say a loud and clear YES. IF the stepping is good, considering ppl have done it on air occasionaly

Hey I hate to side-track but how do you like your Hydrocool. w4nk5ta?

Thx Siphilon. Yeah, I love my Hydrocool. :D But if I buy a Prescott, I´ll use a dual radiator, in order to get good temps, when I beat the 4 GHz wall. With my NW 3,85 GHz I already got ~ 50 ° C(~ 25 ° C ambient) @ load. ;) But I think that`s a good combi: Hydrocool(~ 200 $) + dual radi(~ 70 $, incl. 2 fans). So I can use a watercooling unit for my Radeon 9800 Pro, too and I still got low temps. :)

man i tell you what these damm things do run hot. i have a 3.0E ES sample and at 4 gigs (or any gigs for that mater) my mach1 gets bogged down to -1c idle and like 5c load!! I couldnt imagine running it on air hell even straight water wouldnt be much better either... as for the other question i would say that any 3.0E should be able to reach 4gigs? im not so sure about the 2.8E but i bet it would be real close?

peace perc,
