I am after those D0 prescotts so badly i am getting angry now since i cant find any here in the UK :p

i have searched most of the website and everybody has the old ones ***Ls etc...not even ***As...

My 2.8M0 does 295fsb prime stable with 1.75V

this is the speed i am running it at...so its arround 4.2ghz

i ordered some OCZ 3700EB today so i will be running them @ 5/4

since the asus has cas 3 and 5/4 issues i may be limited by my board too for running the EB with decent speed..

anyways...i would ideally like ~4.5ghz 24/7

yes i am being gready but i think a 3.4 may let me do that? prime stable?

Any steppings i should be aware of?

thanks

I think you can reach 4.5Ghz on a mach unit with a 3.2e or a 3.4e

If you can get one of the new D chips then you should do a little better.

i wish i could get one on my hands mate...

wouldnt the northwood let me do that you reckon?

+ you believe any prescott even the C0 ones will clock that high?

i was offered a 3.2 ES D0 prescott but they had no clue on its clocking potential so i said no... :stick: :(

my 3.4C did 232fsb on corsair hydrocool water, 220-225fsb on air

so maybe 250-260fsb on mach2 for 17x 250-260fsb = 4250-4420mhz ???

hehe

well eva i am considering a 3.4 since my 2.8 does arround 4.2ghz...stable...if the 3.4 wont be able to get me higher then its not really worth it is it? :)

It just seems that the prescotts even D0 wont perform very well compared to NW C's...so i though instead of looking for a D0....to get a 3.4 and hope for the best...

Why not try an EE....even at lower clock speeds it will outperform a higher clocked Northwood or Prescott.
Drop me a mail at bitob at hotmail dot com if interested ;)

ehhe

prob is i dont wanna spend more than £300 for a new cpu mate :p

in fact i may get that 3.4 after the price cuts..its not worth it is it?

i can get 2 3.0C for the price of a 3.4 and have fun with them....

+ i would defo like some high clock speeds with it :)

I would be interested in this also, 4.5ghz @300fsb 1:1 or 5:4 low latency is what i would like.

Im sure you will let us know how it goes.

A 3.2e D0 should get to 4.5Ghz without much trouble. I hope your mobo can handle the FSB.

that's insane! 5.4ghz, bet that will beat 64-bit chips at 2.5ghz.

Bah...the banks here in the UK are just thieves..they want to charge me an arm and a leg to send funds to germany...

so i may not be getting it...

its gonna cost me like 30% extra the price of a stock retail 3.2E :(

it hasnt worked out with the cpu so i will pass...

+ it seems that i got better chances to run 4.4 +ghz 34/7 with a northwood than a prescott...
