which one to I connect the 2 wires to? becauce it has 3 pins... and only 2 are used... (from that pic which one do i use?... i was told that i use the right and the middle... mid for the resistor and rigth for ground... *faceing the direction of the RS pic)... amd i informed right?? lolz... help me out plz... i really dont wana F*** this thing up >.<
Hi NivLac,
There's no other way to Vdimm mod the NF7-S this is the only way to go m8.
I'm assuming you're using one of those POT's I pictured below as I can't see the picture from radioshack. Actually it doesn't matter wich leg of the pot will be the ground (middle or right in your case) as long as you use the MIDDLE and ONE of the outer legs (left or right it makes no difference).
Tips:
- ALWAYS turn off the PC and RESET the CMOS after you have adjusted the POT. Trust me, I have fried 2 mobos and the 3rd one is performing OK since I was doing this to adjust Vdimm.
- Turn POT counter-clockwise slowly to increase DDR voltage, one turn at the time and go check in BIOS. To read the correct DDR voltage you'll have to save and exit from BIOS as voltage is always something aroung 2.98 after CMOS clear.
As you can see I just cutted the front leg and used the middle and rear leg (This is not the Vdimm mod It's just to show you how I did it).
Hope this helps.
Best Regards, KODE.

THX man!!!!... so middle one... dose it HAVE to be for the resistor? or it just has to be used? jw here but im still going to use middle for resistor anyways.... THX!!! also where are you useing for ground?... the reason i asked is because it looks like its connected some other part of the board...
You're welcome m8.
The middle leg must be USED not necessarily it must go to the resistor. In my case I used the middle for the resistor and the rear leg for the ground, but that's makes no difference.
I used the same guide you are following, so I used the Motherboard Fix hole next to the AGP slot as ground. You can Solder the ground wire to a piece like the one I used in the picture below.
As I said in the above post the picture is not from the Vdimm mod, I used it just to show you how I set my wires on the POT :) (this is the 9800Pro Vcore mod actually)
Good luck.
