Is anyone running the OCZ 3500/3700 EB memory on your Intel rigs? If so, what are your results? My brother is in the market for some memory, and from word-of-mouth, it seems to be quite good. But most of the praise I hear about is from AMD users, and what would be recommended for overclocking, 2x256 or 2x512?

I've got a 2x512 OCZ PC3500 EB and Asus P4C800-D

With 2.85 Volts

It will do 226 MHz at 2.5,2,2,5
and 240 MHz at 3,2,2,6

Currently got 3500EB, Asus P4C800E and a 2.4CGhz@3.38Ghz(12x282).

Using the 5:4 divider, the ram is running at 225mhz at 2.5-2-2-6.

I've tested with the 1:1 divider and it can hold those timings all the way up to 230mhz.

Highest I got with reasonably tight timings was 250mhz and 3-2-3-8.

All done with 2.85v.:)

2x512mb sticks btw.

Guru mate i ordered mine

can u tell me whats the max stable after loops of memetest 5 u got with 2.5 2 2 6?

i want 235fsb @ those timings rock stable though...

voltage wise...i got up to 3.35V to throw at them + bought 32heatsinks and 2 40mm fans to keep them cool :)

Here's some quick testing I done a while back:

At each speed, one run of memtest was conducted. If it passed, I moved on up.

225MHZ 2.5-2-2-6 PASS
230MHZ 2.5-2-2-6 PASS
230MHZ 2.5-2-2-8 FAIL
235MHZ 2.5-2-2-8 FAIL
235MHZ 3-2-2-8 PASS
240MHZ 3-2-2-8 FAIL
240MHZ 3-3-2-8 PASS
245MHZ 3-3-2-8 PASS
250MHZ 3-3-2-8 PASS!!!
255MHZ 3-3-2-8 FAIL

But remember that was with only 2.85v.

If I had the balls to mod my mobo and give the ram 3.0v, I reckon those results would be a heck of a lot better.

You should have absolutely no problems getting decent results out of this ram.:)

Well, I just got the ram. It would only do 250,1:1, 3-3-2-6, at 3.0vdimm. It is prime95 stable, but I only left it on for only a few hours. Not bad, but not that great either. Then I increase vdimm to 3.2, and the ram does NOT like the extra heat. It would boot to windows, but it would be so unstable. Anyways, decreasing the fsb didn't do much to make it stable, so I guess the higher vdimm produces too much heat for the ram to handle it. I have yet to try this with some cooling, and maybe I just got a really bad pair of sticks.

also not so great here for my 3500EB 1gb kit. will not run stable at 230fsb 1:1 / 2.5-2-2-x with any voltage. I have a fan mounted over the RAM too as they do get very warm. Tried relaxing the CAS to 3 as I really wanted x-2-2-x timings.

The best I can get is 230 1:1 2.5-3-2-5 & that needs 2.9v.
