View Full Version : Shuttle SB75G2 (Barebone) vcore-mod!

All you need is a 100KOhm trimmer, very good eyes and some cups of coffee. ;)

Before you start set vcore to "Auto" in bios and adjust the trimmer to maximum resistance

Soldering pin 8 of the regulator ist very tricky so be carefull. You'll need a very fine solder iron for this mod.

IMPORTANT:
The maximum vcore i was able to get was 1.71V (bios vcore was set to 1.5875V here).
When i turned the trimmer beyond that point there was a squeaking sound and my system rebooted.

It seems that the regulator is at it's limit at that voltage so i don't recommend going further!

the trimmer how many turns must be? and how many W?

I'm always using 1/4W 10- or 20-turn trimmers.

btw. here's a much better point to solder the cable to.
