I already had a post on my A64+9600XT rig issue which I never fixed. 3dmark01 was 12k and 3dmark03 was 3.8k and my CPU score in 03 was about HALF of other scores (300 something while other people had 700+) That rig had 36S superPI time which was on par with another 3000+ at the same speed (2.55ghz)
I was just testing to make sure that 2.53ghz is still stable and I if I can run it daily on my gaming rig and I ALMOST got 13k... SuperPI time is 43S which again, sounds on par for the CPU. 220*11.5 1800+ DLT3C. Stock 9500pro. 3.13 Nforce drivers and 4.4 cats. Its a pretty clean winXP install to. First thing to go in was Nforce drivers followed up by ATI drivers than moniter drivers and games.
The thing runs fine in games... I got a higher score in my parents rig with this card when it was in there. 13 something k. Stock 2100+ to...
Score wise my AXP rig slaughters my A64 rig in car and dragothic while a bit lower in lobby and like 5 FPS higher in Nature because of the card.
For the A64 rig I was thinking I need to install the drivers off the CD and not the Nvidia ones because of the NF3 250 chipset but whats wrong with my gaming rig?

Any help is HIGHLY appreciated because I'm about to rig both computers into pieces and quit OCing :stick:

I have ideas: one is can you try a game benchmark at 640x480 and see if your fps are normal or not? second, can you run 3dmark in realtime priority? third, can you disable any undeeded services? it looks like something you installed is running behind the background and eating cpu cycles. maybe one of the drivers for a device you have? one guy was running antivirus in the background. if your game fps are low, then you know for sure. 1600x1200 doesnt push the cpu hard enough

for example, chipset drivers? Some illicit tweaking perhaps

I was thinking I need to install the drivers off the CD
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
this should have been done immediately after the fresh OS install, then video card drivers, then everything else.
i am sure you will get this worked out.

I stopped using the drivers off the CD a year ago. I've always installed the latest from Nvidia as soon as I installed the OS. Maybe theres something on this rig but on my A64 it was a clean install of XP home with no games or extra apps and 3dmark was run in real time.
My games run fine on this rig like I said.

Are the drivers set to "High Performance" (you have to manually do this) with AA/AF off? I know that sounds obvious but it can do exactly that to your scores. All of them are low, including the CPU/RAM and VGA intensive tests.

I turned all background processes and stuff off and ran realtime on this rig and got 13.1k :\
On my bench rig my highest score was 12.5k when setting everything to performance manually. Gained me around 200 points... Theres no way to turn AA off tho. Lowest is aplication prefrence.
APIC is off on both rigs.
EDIT:
I fail to see how my superPI times and CPU intensive games are great but in 3dmark they blow...
Oh yea forgot to mention:10 higher FSB on 13.1k.

ALMOST 13.5k. Nothing running in background other than important stuff everything ATI drivers set to performance ran in real time
here (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7854324 )
Do I need the drivers off the CD AND the Nforce drivers from nvidia?

That score looks much better, maybe a bit low but nothing extreme now. windows xp is eating quite a few points there, also your ram timings arent as good as bh5, thats another many hundred marks loss. finally your 9500 pro is stock. your a64 rig is still low, but your xp rig sounds about right on, if you disagree then tell me how high it should be scoring?

about the same score I get with my AXP @ 2.6 and a 9600XT...

app. pref. is off. As long as you dont specify AA on in 3dm2k1 menu, its off.
