WU Credits and the Recent Mess

Discovered that my WU credits are being shunted off to another site recently.

Asked moderators from both sites to explain what's going on, looked into it on other threads and I've come to this conclusion: both sides have cause for grief and they're handling it poorly.

These are my credits (and I'm damn well paying for the electricty, and the machines I built myself) for work being done for a real, good cause and I'm seriously considering pulling the plug cuz I can't decide who irritates me LESS.

Hi-tech business is in a state of flux, business relationships are difficult in even good times. It's time for the folks in charge of this site and the folks that left to bury the freaking hatchet and get on with it.

Administrators of a community have a responsibility to ACT like adults. This means working out differences or else negotiating a mutually acceptable separation. What has happened is indicative of emotional adolescents. It's not proper, it's not functional, and it's not anything I want to be party to.

Straighten up and fly right, all of you's, or you're going to lose every adult contributor to this site. We all know the concessions WE have to make in daily life... we expect at least as much from those who preside over our forums.

Feel free to copy this to wherever Jbell et al have gone (taking my WU creds with them).

Jeff had offered to keep the team intact at his oasis but that did not go as planned.

Team 3365 was moved without notice to anyone and there are members who do not wish to fold for that team anymore.

JBELL felt that he owns the team and just took it.

I wanted the team to stay together and gave no resistance to what the folders wanted to do. This did not include what JBELL did to the team in moving it without notice. Most people dont even know they are folding for a different website.

We did start a new team here at XS, I will look into having my points removed from team 3365 and moved to the new team. Sadly it has come to this and more people like yourself will be asking wtf is up. Its not a good situation but its one that needs to be addressed and resolved as soon as possible.

More suggestions would be appriciated.

To my knowledge, it has always been the position of the Pande group to DENY any requests for users to have their points moved. Any WU that you turn in gets credited to whatever team you choose at the time.

That is my one and only problem with F@H, you can't move your points between teams, yet the owner can change the team name/url. I currently have points split between 4 different F@H teams and I'd rather have them all be on one team.

I suggest you talk to pythagoras about having your points moved, as he is aware of the situation with XS/XR and is a well-respected F@H contributor, but I doubt anything will come of it.

We also have a small F@H team on the island, but just about all of attention is currently directed at DF. If anyone wants to run F@H there, they are more than welcomed to.
