I need some help with asus p4c800dlx, I send this board for replacement and will get another in another week. The problem with is that I put a vcore mod on the board that worked pretty well and I left it on for testing overnight. Next day computer didn't want to start so I removed everything and started board and then it happen the board burn, I saw some smoke and felt awful smell. When cpu was in the socket the board didn't want to start also one of the chips or something inside bigger chip insight of the socket was split. My question is can a vcore mod kill motherboard when using high voltages?

I guess if you use too low of the resistance (resistor) and the voltage is too high, you can burn your board.

i would also say that it happend because of the vmod
