What's the best core for a 3.0Ghz P4c for overclocking?

you mean stepping.
I think its either the sl6wu, sl6wk or the newer stepping that I cannot remember. Also 30 cap chips perform better than the 12 ones.

You Really Just have to try OC'ing the Chip You Get to Find Out How High You Can Go!;)
There have been Many ppl in this Forum that have had Good luck the First Chip they've Bought, and there have been Others that had to Go Through A few to find One that OC'd Well.
Once More, Just the Luck of the Draw.:D

im going to have to go against the grain on this one and say that 30caps or not they both seem to run the same if you find the right one? i got a sl6wu non 30cap that ran stable 24/7 at 3900mhz on air and manged 4.12 gigs max so far....

it's the number of capacitors underneath the P4 chip.

Here is mine. This is 24HR stable on air. My NB gets really hot (45C), but it stays stable. Temps get to around 54C under load. Cooling is done with a SP-94 and 92MM Tornado, with another tornado blowing in from the side. The vcore is set to 1.625v, but droops to 1.616v under load.

Wow, I`m wondering why your NW runs stable without a compressor above 4 GHz. :confused: I think there are only a few NWs, which run stable on such a high frequency and of course with such a low voltage !!! ;)
