3dmark 01 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7848340
can really tell that the card is hindered by the cpu. Nice boost in nature.
3dmark 2003 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=2550642
i seen a huge improvment here.

thanks for the links! wow your really cpu limited, even in drag low. can your x800 overclock? the boost in nature might be enough for 22k ;)

yea, i think with A64 you will see higher scores, the A64 uses on board mem controller which should make cpu less of a bottleneck.
REALLY cpu limited...
Haha.. i score more in all tests xept nature...
Darn that looks kinda funny :D
But is that X800 running 100% stock speeds??? Cuz then DARN... You make the same as me... And i got everything OC... Hehe...

my next purchase is an a64 when the new socket is released.

Filter,
Nice card. I got one last night myself. These cards run nice and cool useing the low voltage.
Fast buggers:)

ok, i know 3d performance is CPU limited TO A CERTAIN POINT. If you are playing Far cry, bf:v, whatever @ 1600x1200 with all settings maxed and aa/af.....your going to see the exact same results from a PIII and an A64. At such high settings, the video card itself is the ultimate bottleneck.
And that is exactly what these next-gen cards are for, 3d performance in the highest graphical detail. So dont think you need to spend thousands od dollars just for your cpu and motherboard, etc when youve got high FPS@HIGH IQ in mind. That is, unless you're playing at like 1024x768...then your cpu will become a large factor in FPS.

lol
you are so cpu limited that my 9700 pro wrecks you in everything except nature! Thats pretty bad. If you got some extra cash you should grab a 3.0C. The average overclock is around 3.8ghz on air I'd say. Mine did 3.9ghz.
Anyway great work on 3dmark 03 and congrats on the card

3DMark2001 is good to show you how CPU/system limited you are... best to compare results at low resolution (nowadays 1024x768 is considered low resolution... but 640x480 is even better).
If you want to impress all the non X800Pro owners than flash around your 3DMark2003 score. (Typically ~8-9k)

yea, it looks like A64 /x800 is winning combo for 3d2k1.

city of heros at 1600x1200 with 4aa/8af is awesome. way worth the upgrade over my 9800 pro. plus the GF is happy to have the 9800 pro.
