got this DFI infinity back from RMA, i was gonna sell it, but decided to put it back in the computer to complement my new 9700 PRO and 1700+ JIUHB:)

actually, atm, im using an AIUHB 2000+ until the 1700+ arrives in the mail. This damn setup wont post at 200fsb??!! I flashed to 1/31, and i can only get to 200fsb with clockgen in windows. if i try to set it to 200fsb in BIOS, i have to clear CMOS before it will even post again.

Ive been out of the DFI loop for awhile, whats the latest and greatest BIOS out there atm?

:brick:

What FSBs did you get to when you had DFI Infinity before? which BIOS version did you run at the time? I suppose you're using the same memory sticks, right?

yeah same memory (GEIL POS PC3200), which took my old AXP 2500+ to 200fsb flawlessly on 1/31 BIOS. so im sure the memory isnt the problem. I think its a BIOS issue, since i can play games and bench fine after using clockgen in windows

hmm maybe try this link? http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?postid=448938#post448938 The version 4-29 or newer seems to help some users with the booting issues.

yay! 4-29 BIOS did the trick. Now lets see how high this oldschool 1700+ will go:D
