well the system is running. i had a broken intel kit that i used until my new kit arrived today. ---> 30 degrees under load. well that was really annoying. now with my new kit installed i get idle temps of about -2 or so with my prescott @ stock volts/speed.? can´t be or? or is the abit reading temps wrong? checked for good contac about 4 times now. (i lapped that prescott) if i remove the prommy head from the cpu. the cpu is always pulled out of the socket. so i think the contact must be pretty good right? the chiller shows me about -28 degrees. (got an extra fan at the front)

I had an R507 prometeia and a Asus P4c800 with a 2.8E prescott at 4 ghz, and at a mere 1.65 volts my R507 prometeia was showing -20C under load at only 4 ghz.
Bios was showing 8C.

for reference, my FX51 with the same R507 chiller shows -48C on the display and -45C in Bios with it running at 2.93 ghz (13x225) at 1.7 volts.

prescotts just run very hot in general.
my prescott was the earliest version, and I got it 2 days after newegg had them, since then steppings and such must have improved, but I have never seen anything so throughly bring my R507 prometia to its knees then a Prescott at 4 ghz.

heard that no captube modding is needed when filling the mach1 with r507. is this correct? well i´m @ stock speed 2,8ghz 1,4 volts an idling in windows with -4 degree oO

sad to say but those temps sound right from the research ive been doing.i have a modded mach1 coming in 2 weeks and im praying to just stay under the -0c range myself.

even tho its working it hard the precotts look to be doing better than simlier C chips in amount of max oc.

i do 3510@1.39vcore 53c-idle 68c-load on air.
