one stick - no tiki man symbol - 1213209 - 2.5v - assembly in usa
other stick - 1352747 - 2.6v - assembly in usa - tiki man symbol
both 9905193-013.a01
what cpu-z reported (about week of production):
http://indabasement.com/2.5v.jpg
http://indabasement.com/2.6v.jpg
in dimm2 i have the 2.6v labelled stick and in dimm3 i have the 2.5v labelled stick. im assuming cpuz used dimm3 for the dimm slot away from the cpu and dimm1 for dimm2 slot (i have the booster in dimm1). otherwise the label name is wrong on my pics, hehe.
board: NF7-S Rev. 2
prime happy:
2.9vdimm, 2-2-2-11, 2T, 2x512 in DC, ~229-230
3.2vdimm, 2-2-2-11, 2T, 2x512 in DC, ~241-242
i havent tested each stick individually.
hope that helps:)
A64 s939 Winchester in DFI Ultra-D: 1.5(CL)-2(tRCD)-3(tRP)-5(tRAS), 3.4Vdimm, 250, prime is happy. 250-251, 1.5-2-2-5, memtest is happy. using same sticks that were in the nf7 (above quote).

not stable at 280, 275 is pretty stable though. 270 is stable, and 265 is like theres no stress on the ram. :p:
280 is tested 3dmark stable. superpi wont run on this mobo at high clocks so that cant be used... but sandra and everest work as well as 3d01! :)

Yeah, bud, I know these superpi probs. Please give lowering LDT multiplier a try :)
I was able to complete superpi32m at 270x12 with my kingstons (3.5V). But I had to set LDT to 3x. (310p) And it's not memtest stable showing some errors at times.
Seems that mem does not like 3.6V+

What can I expect from old school BH5 that goes 230MHz 2-2-5-2-1 3.0V if I run those at 3.6V?
One cannot really predict what it's gonna do. Some sticks don't even like 3.6V (my KHX3200 BH-5 for example)...
But they can bench 270 1.5-2-2-2 1T at 3.55V :D (Superpi32m)

2: 230MHz 2-2-2-5 DC 3.0V Kingston Value DDR400

It depends on what boards/cpus were used for shown results :)
The Twinmos may be burnt in a bit better as it's already 2 years old ;)
But the Kingston could end up with higher clocks too... maybe it responds better to higher voltages.
Do you already have them laying in front of ya, or do ya have to buy them prior to testing them? :D

Btw guys, there was in past some story about CH-5 and builded in voltage regulator... some buffalo tech guy said its reason why they start to clock so well with voltage above 3.2v ( after 3.1v it supposed to turn off). And now mostly peeps says its just the way chips are builded.....

As in, they hinder the performance of the ram? And if so, by a lot? If it's only by a little, I'd rather not chance ruining the sticks. Yeah, i know, i'm chicken, but oh well.

Taking the heatspreaders off isn't an option?
babyelf,
ur bh5 damn good! which brand of this ram and what about the week production?
its OCZ Value Ram series
the Ram has been rebranded and all info flushed, plus no heat spreaders
from what weve been told by OCZ is that its the same BH-5 Modules from the new Gold series
Edit:: im running, 2x512mb 230mhz 2-2-2-5 @ 2.96vdimm, memtest stable
running OCZ Value Ram, no clue on week info, no programs will tell me, and can find any info on the die numbers
running on an NF7-S, 230x11 2 1.85vcore

you said to put something similar to the following ("2302D" 2.0-2-2 3.25v 235mhz (adata 3200 256mb@nf2)).. and i do see some numbers like that in the database... if i look on my mushkin special BH-6, it has the reg stepping... but there is a little IC at the bottom, visible with the heatspreader on... is 2402E, could mean some peeps r reading that instead of taking the full IHS off? jus wondering...

First set is my 2x256 Megs Corsair XMS PC3500 v1.1. One stick has 310we stepped chips, the other stick is half and half 310we, and 322wf.
In my DFI nForce4 motherboard, this set peaks at 273 MHz for memtest86 stability, using 1.5-2-2-3 timings, and 3.78V of VDIMM voltage. BIOS revision 510-2.
Second result is my 2x256 Megs Mushkin Black LII PC3200. All the chips are stepped 3052e. The sticks peak at 270 MHz for memtest86 stability, using 2-2-2-5 timings, and 3.89V of VDIMM. BIOS Revision 510-2.

Ohh yeaahh - this dual will be mine for some weeks :rehab:
Culmen sells me this sticks :banana3: .
Probably it's the best BH-6 dual in Poland and there are also only one BH-5 kit which can go higher (Mardok's :p: ) .
It's Kingston DW-60 and Infineon AT-6 - both PC2700 value rams ... :hrhr: .
Culmen's friend clocked this DW-60 stick to 281/3.6 V on DFI NF3 .. .
My currently sticks scores :
HyperX PC3200K2 2x256 MB single-sided
Everest detects them as a 37 week of 2003 . I did't remove the heatspeaders so I don't know :hm: :
270/5-2-2-2/3.71 V
266/5-2-2-2/3.63 V
260/5-2-2-2/3.41 V
all on DFI Ultra-D NF4
Edit : New owner of this KHXes has taken off the heatspeaders, and now we know that this is 336WF orginal BH-5  (both sticks) .

Offtopic, but I smoked my NF7-s (for some reason a shotcut on the mobo's 12µv rail..) and ordered myself an DFI nf4 Ultra-D, as this is my first A64, what's the highest, safe level to put through a venicevdimm controller..?

Sorry but I continue a little this Off/T and I answer Rub :
On DFI NF4 you can easy go even to 4V vdimm (real can be even 4.06V) without any mods, you only can put a fan to Vdimm section- that's the only "mod" you need ;) .
Now On Topic back :) :
I remember that I also had 2 sticks of HyperX PC2700 256MB, some month ago - both remarked BH-5 to "0309 Kingston DW-50", twin sided :( .
One stick did 255 Mhz/3.53 V on DFI Lan Party Nf3, and second did 250 Mhz/3.3 V on DFI Infinity Nf2 :p: .

Did twinmos release some 256MB sticks of BH5 in there pro line? or did all of their chips of BH5 went into the 3200 cas2.5 with out selections ?
celemine1Gig

Well, if I'm not mistaking, there are 256MB Twinmos Speed Premium modules, so perhaps, they are Winbond based (1A4T or AA4T).
Just saw that for example the Newegg product picture for the 256MB TMSP shows Winbond based chips. The question is only, if the pics match the real product that you'd receive.
BTW, in about 6 weeks (unfortunately no time ATM), I hope I'll be able to add the following to this database:
3x 256MB Infineon 6-A PC2700 (Winbond based, seems to be BH-6): 250 Mhz/3.2V
2x 256MB VT/Kreton PC3200 UTT chips (CH-die): 250MHz/3.2V
2x 512MB VT/Kreton PC3200 UTT chips (BH-die): 250Mhz/~3.4V
1x 512MB Infineon 6-A PC2700 (same as the 256MB Infineons): 200MHz/2.8V
1x 512MB FCM PC2700 Winbond BH-6: not here yet
Fastest timings (2-2-2-10 for all sticks).
I know, none of the modules is BH-5-based, but I still hope that the results will be accepted, when I finally post them. :)
Exact results from all the modules will follow. :)

Thanks celemine1Gig but I am wondering about the old BH5 not the UTT
Well, I don't really get what you mean then.
Old BH-5 isn't available anymore for over a year. How come, you think that Twinmos should be able to produce with old chips?
The only chance to get old BH-5 equipped 256MB sticks is eBay or forums. I doubt that there is any reseller that still has stock on the old modules.
And if you mean the old "new" BH-5 (UTT is synonymous for new CH-die and BH-die chips, in case you don't know), just look for "1A4T". Otherwise, no chance to still get old BH-5 sticks. At least you won't find any recent Winbond chips with a real Winbond label printed on them. All chips available ATM are remarked.

I got a friend who have some old BH5 from twinmos - not new die CH or BH. It´s regular 3200 twinmos, SPD 2.5, but not twister/pro line. That´s why I wonder if they are gona be any good or if it´s only the crapy chips which went in this line and the good one in another.
I didn´t find any informations telling me that twinmos produced BH5 in twister or pro line, but it´s probably a 2 to 3 year old if it existed so it would not be surprising if can´t find the information even if it existed.
The problem is that where I live now it´s gonna be a real pain to send them and recieved them in a good shape. I´ll also have to gather informations about the customs. I don´t want to go threw all this crap if it´s sure that the stick won´t clock high.

Man, honestly, use the search function next time. I don't know how much threads there are about the original old Twinmos BH-5 sticks, but there sure are plenty.
99% of the time, there was no difference between Twinmos and let's say Mushkin or any other BH-5 RAM.
It's just luck of the draw. Either you get a good, a average or a bad pair. Doesn't matter if it says Twinmos or something else on the sticks.
KoNiaK
06-24-2005, 11:31 AM
And how I look for a model that I don´t know if it exist and even don´t know the potential name ;)
I´d actualy did a few search with twister+bh5 and cheked the ram list, before posting, nothing. But the list is not exaustive for twinmos. What I am actualy looking forward is that the rep tell me if there was or not.
In this case it´s not "let's say Mushkin or any other BH-5" it´s more like VX 3500 vs 4000 ;)

a veeery rare edition, i own a dual channel kit of those, havent seen anybody else with twinmos 3700 based on bh5 so far.
so to answer your question, back then 99% of the bh5 went to the vanilla 3200 2.5-3-3 sticks. twinmos now has a high performence offer for memory, back then they only had value stuff afaik.

Is ist normal that if I run the mem for exempla @ the 7:10 divider it is able to archive better results then when running 1:1 with the same timings?
you mean the memory is running slower than the fsb and this gives you a higher oc? hmmm i never heard of this before.
if it was the other way around it could be that your fsb is limiting you.
you do know that a divider slightly changes your memory speed, right?
so it will show your memory speed as a few mhz higher than it actually is, while in 1:1 it always shows the exact memory speed in cpuz for example.
@everybody:

thats what i also wondered about. there is def new bh5, but is it really bh5 or is it ch5 tested to run 2-2-2 and then labeled bh5 by winbond even though its actually a different ic? there is definately ch5 that runs 2-2-2, so why would winbond go back to an older design and produce bh5 ics? hmmm

Hi:
I purchased on Ebay 2x512 Corsair LLPT. This guy don´t know he was selling BH5 ^^. He tell me he did not OC never.
I remove heatspreader and this is:
307WE the two sticks
And I hit with 3.31v in memtest86 this:
- Module 1; 256 2-2-2-5
- Module 2; 260 2-2-2-5
But, when I put the two memory stick with the same voltaje (3.31) it only do 248 2-2-2-5
It´s posible????
I´m with a MSI NEO2, with Vdimm@3.3v mod and a powerstream PSU. 3.31v with tester when memtest is runing.
Bios 1.8MOD.
Thanks

Hi guys
I have this mem:
2Gb Kit Team Xtreem Cronus 3-3-3-8 PC4000 (Micron)
does it use these chips that you are talking about here? If not can you please point me in the correct directions and I am sorry for posting in the wrong forum
is it bh5 or ch5? although the sticks just 3500 without A/AK2/K2, but from cpu-z, it shown 200 @ 2-3-38, 217 @ 2.5-4-4-9 and different from what I found.
"HyperX PC 3500 (rated 2-3-3-7 @ 433Mhz, 2-2-2-6 @ 400Mhz, old revision) (KHX 3500) --chip--> Winbond BH-5 (maybe relabeled)"

Hello,
are there any BH5 Chips with a modified label?
maybe
Twinmos 0402D TMD7608F8E50D,
TwinMos 0448D TMD7608F8E501 or
TwinMOS 0449D TMD7608F8E50I
or does all these sticks have Powerchips on PCB?
Or have all old BH5 the Winbond Logo??
