o.k people - i know the first thing coming to your mind is - spend them on me - but guess what - i am jew - not santa claus ...

anyway - don't get too much into detailz - your sig is like this and sig like that - coz i am trading some stuff and after all the trades i will end up with 1000 bucks and the following rig -

P4 2.8C, AI7, 9700NP, 2X512 BH5 ....

now - what do u say -

option 1 - VAPOCHILL LS :

shipping is almost 340$ to here ... - so i am actually even paying like 1100$ ....

can't say I feel well with VAPO on international shipping ...

option 2 -

A64 3200/3400 , NF3 250 mobo, and X800PRO ...

what do u say ?

now - some things to help ya decide -

i am using LCD screen - so over 1280X1024 resolution is not important ...

i know some will say - u can as well sell your stuff and get a64 combo - forget it - it's something related to family matters ...

so these are my options , what do u say ?

go for option 2. i would wait for the 6800 ultra tho. also s939.

just curious, why not throw in a P4 EE 3.2ghz?

I don't like the idea of "SMSM - The first LS user in Israel". ;)
Anyway, option 2 is way more value.

That would be the worst option of them all, considering his rig is for Games. The CPU alone would cost him >$1000 in Israel. And probably an impossible find.

Ignore the sckt 939 fanatics....they can wait all their life for all we care wont be much of a performance difference anyways.

I would go for option 2. You would be getting ripped off by paying such a large sum on shipping. With the VapoChill LS you would have approx 4overclock on that 2.8C. A little more if it is a M0 stepping. However an A64 at 2.4~2.5ghz will rival a P4C @ 4ghz so you will be in very good shape. Plus you will be 64bit ready. If your going to keep your rig for a while then this is a good investment because the x800pro will be readyfor many games for a long tiem to come and you will make the transition to 64bit with the a64.

LoL why does it matter. Thats just like hating people who have a faster rig

With the present cpu you have I don't think the LS would give you enough increase to justify the money. You may hit 4G, but you'd also lose some by having to run 5/4. A better chip would be a different story. The A64 route is cheaper and should give you better gamming performance
