i have 3 sticks of ram, 2x256 and 1x512
thats why my mem clocks low

what ram is it?
any benches?
The HTT (or FSB) on A64 systems doesn't really matter at all. Much more important is the memory speed.
292 MHz HTT isn't that good. Most K8N goes to 350 MHz HTT. But as I said, performance gain is almost zero.

A SH7-CO stepping that supposed to be a Newcastle? Newcastles are FC0h not F48h - cpu-z needs to be updated!

lets see some bench @ stock HTT and 292 HTT

292fsb is great but the 3:2(your rams below 200MHz) is really hurting you. 260x9=2.34 on the cpu and run your ram at 5:4 this will give you 208 on the ram. If your cpu can do higher, try 266x9 for 2.4GHz which shouldnt be too hard. 5:4 of that is about 213 for the ram. youd gain both ram MHz and higher cpu clocks

I don't think you understand how A64 dividers work, there is no such thing as 3:2 or 5:4.
The memory speed is derived from the CPU speed, e.g. CPU/10, CPU/11, CPU/12.
On his screenshots you can see he's running divider CPU/11, so his ram speed IS above 200 MHz (212.7 in his case).

was about to say...
anytways, it would be really helpful if we could find out exactly what ram he's got in there.

well i have...
SLOT 1:
512mb Corsair 3200C2 1.1 (bh-5?6?)
SLOT 2:
256 mb Kingston hyperx 3200/k2 BH-5
SLOT 3:
256 mb Kingston hyperx 3200/k2 BH-5
I can only go 215 max
I'm currently trying to sell all the ram for about 320$ for some CH-5 or some other cheaper ram. (so anyone intrested tell me)
I just would like to get some that pc3700 OCZ that was posted above and that guy got over 300fsb 1:1
Just wondering how good is my PI score and if it's a good O/c, unfortunatly, K8nPros' can't reach over 2380mhz w/o a volt mod which I don't know how to soder...

you could try sending it to hellfire to get it modded

is it normal to only get about 215 memoroy clock with bh-5 at 2-2-2-5?

should get ~235 @ 3v. Just an estimate. 215 is certainly low. I don't know if the dividers hurt your ram clocks like they do on some platforms. Im still on NF2...1:1 or suck. I run 230 @ 3v on 2*512mb BH5 sticks.

it's low cuz the a64 is very wierd on memory.
with socket A's, you can have almost any combination of ram, but a64's are wierd so It doesn't work well...

try it with just one of the 256mb modules in
it should be good for 250+ with 3v+
also u can get a heavy price for those KHX3200K2's :)

very strange, I recall people saying there was a 5:4 divider and 3:2 and one mobo even has a 6:5 anyway your ram isnt a very good overclocker so you may not get as much a premium. my bh5 sold cheap cause it needed 3.2v for 220fsb LOL

A64 OC with tree sticks og mem is no no.. you should try with only one or two sticks. Also try running 2.5-2-2-x instead of 2-2-2-x .. the difference on A64 is close to nothing, except many sticks need CAS 2.5 to do over 215-220Mhz.

You still don't seem to get it, the dividers are motherboard independant, the memory controller is inside the CPU.
