Put it in the Mobo a couple of hours ago, turned up the voltage a little(1.440v is default) and raised the FSB to 295.
So Far, Just a Screenie shot, But it sure looks Promising :p:
Gonna' back it down to default and let Sandra burn it overnight, 'cause I won't find another like this very soon again!;)

Maybe some Intel dude comes across this thread and sees the picture of an ES chip and gets mad and decides to track him down? :)

how did you get that?
I am a n00b to intel's, other than saying Intel Confidential what's so great about it? Was it just a test chip or something?

It's an "ES" which stands for Engineering Sample. That means you can change multiplyers. Secondly, due to the fact that he showed the transistors on the back of the core...I'm assuming there is something different about it like a special core or stepping.

Yes, It is an Unlocked Chip not for sale to the general public(According to Intel) and is generally used to demonstrate by Reviewers the capabilities of a new chip that has or will come out.
I have blocked some of the numbers on the pic to maintain Confidentiality of my "Source" as per His/Her Request.
Those were the rules I had to follow in order to Purchase this Chip:cool:

Great do you have some pictures about your cooling?
The bottom of it looks wierd :o/
Hehe... But thats just great... I talked with a bud 2day... He just hit 3.0@3.9 standard Vcore on his prescott... He has an asetek waterchill set... But the fu***r wont raise his Vcore to see how high it goes... Would really have liked to see that thing on a modded prommy...

It Took me a Long Time Trying to find Someone to Buy This CPU From, and They are Out There, But the Sellers are Very Cautious about Who they Sell To! :p:
My Advice would be to Use PRIVATE PM's(Sellers of these Chips LIKE to keep a Low Profile) to ppl Who Mention these CPU's in their Posts. ;)
You Will Never Know Until You Try.:toast:
