Aquamark3: 66,876 (http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=1352351832)

looks pretty good considering 2.376ghz o/c on an A64 3400+, yet unknown clocks on the 6800 ultra. this run was done on stock cooling, i believe. this maybe the 1st Geforce 6800 score by a regular user. the prospects seem good i'd say.

Great score for a slightly overclocked system... Maybe higher scores would appear sooner with either NV or Ati cards

85k good lord thats a nice score...also I believe the Intels score the best in this test. I wonder what a P4EE + 6800U would do in this one.

unfair?! ... some people are sponsored a.k.a. work there asses off or adult males a.k.a. work there asses off. I imagine for most a fair amount of selling and saving go on.

I'm not a bencher but as an outside example as a 24 year old adult male, I gotta say thats the best time for money. Out of school, no wife and kids for profit sharing ;) or convincing you that you must do things with your money that make sense. Still, if I could step in a time machine and be younger with less responsibility I would in a heartbeat. I am in that two years out of college phase thinking..... I have to do this 40hrs+ thing pretty much every week for the next 45 years?!? More relevant example, I think OPP is a painter for instance. How does working in the heat sound to all you youngens? Grass is always greener on the other side.

Enjoy your 'poor' youth. Most hobbies are like this. That stupid eff'ing alarm clock goes off everyday, maybe you go the gym after work, by the time you come home and are done eating dinner its freaking 8 o'clock... but when the time comes at least the fed-ex man comes and brings a smile to your face. Yes, I'm assuming most guys saying that unfair bit are young, but this is because I think the older people think similar to what Im saying. Also, if you have a lot of money its not usually because your name got picked out of a hat. Even behind every spoiled kid is someone busting there ass.

Sorry for ranting... the start of beautiful weather is depressing... when looking out my office window. Young and poor was nice.

Well said texuspete. How does 14 years of education sound. With the last 5 averaging 100 hours a week. I think I've earned my toys

So I guess the ARC or whatever doesnt keep track of the card clocks correctly either. Wonder if people will have to resubmit scores for them to come out right.

we can only speculate on what a 6800 ultra can do on an EE, hopefully Fugger , and Hiwayman will bring us into the light.:) chances are, they have already ordered it. just wait and see.

That was 555/560, no vmods with an alpha 6035 (thanks charlie for the tip) heat sink.

CPU score wise an EE will take down the FX in Aquamark3.

I saw you and him chatting on the aquamark board. Send him my regards and congrats on all of his scores. None of them are to be taken lightly he's a great bencher.

I have no doubt that the Nvidia cards will do better at Aquamark then the ATI cards.

it was always strange to see my FX5900 NU at 640/1050 beating R9800 XT's and being 4th on the arc for a few months...

when the same card could get me in the top 20 for the ORB and left me at only 27,166 in my last effort.

NVidia cards just do better on the ARK then ATI cards do, so I am sure once the 6800 Ultra gets into the right peoples hands, jason, highwayman, kanavit here or some of the others from the ARC, we'll probably see 90,000 go down rather easily.

i agree, Nvidia is stronger in aquamark3 and 3dmark03 synthetic tests. NV40+P4 EE should bring interesting results. The A64 FX-53+R420 should be King of 3dmark2001. In real game situations, i think R420 is slightly better with AF/DX9. NV40 better with AA/open GL.

Definetely. Intel + Nvidia seems to be the ticket for the highest scores in AM3.

For 3DMark2001 my 5950 scored 20,566 (545/985) while the 9800XT was at 21,578 in the exact same system.

However, in Aquamark 3 the 9800XT can barely score 52k while the 5950 was at 56k+ (which in reality is +4fps, each fps is +1000 points).

Not to mention it was prettier to look at, the Nvidia never artifacted at all. Aquamark was more like Snowmark for me on the Radeon ;)

lol, i already have $233 saved up on my credit card. i need at least $200 more. i think i will have scraped enuff to get a Geforce 6800 ultra by next month. Now, i don't care which brand it is. i just want one. it would be nice to score 60+ k A3 on stock.

as far as 6800 ultra in 3dmark2001se, RoninCS did a quick run and got this.

Updated 3DMark2k1 scores:

187 is a very low nature, he probably forgot to use lodbias. even the x800 pro gets like 205 in nature on an a64 stock. everything else looks fine because hes cpu limited anyway.

Jason should get at least 35k with the 6800u too, but he may get like 16k in 2003 though
