View Full Version : Vdimm mod: Diff resistor value from my previous board!
I´m ready to do the Vdimm mod on my 3rd NF7-S 2.0 but I noticed the value of the resistor that is used to solder the VR is different from my previous NF7-S. The first one was 76X and the current is 51X (60.4 and 33.2 ohms respectively) Should I worry about that? I will use a 1K VR as recommended, should I use something else?
Best regards,
KODE.

As long as you set the VR to max resistance, and also set the bios Vdimm to lowest value..you will be fine.
Regardless of what the stock value is, adding a 1k VR in parallel will only lower the total resistance by a small amount.
Be sure to check the stock Vdimm on the FET after setting the Vdimm to low value and rebooting.
Thanks m8, I´m not an eletronic expert, just a "normal" guy that loves overclock, so sorry for those stupid questions :)
The Vdimm mod went OK this time and I´m using 3.07V for DDR at the moment :toast: I was wondering how high the DDR voltage will go considering my I/O voltage of 3.37V. Is there any problem to set the DDR voltage to a value to close to the I/O voltage? (+3.3V)
