Lo there,
last night I really borked up my droop mod :(
Id been running a lovely clock of 4530 on 1.82V after a bit of tweakage and was happy as larry with it so i decided to finish the mod by gluing my trimmer onto a part of the rear IO pannel.
Stupidly i applied the glue to my finger which caught one of the wires from the trimmer and pulled it of the board :( . Now when i try to solder it back on the solder wont stick to the board .
This is the mod i had

Booted back up and everything is fine minus the stable vcore.
I was just wondering if there is an alternative place to do the mod as im really not happy with 4380 1.75V wich droops to 1.65ish whilst dual primeing.
Cheers,
-gorby

Happend to me too, so I used the "Macci vdroop mod". Search for "p4c800 vdroop" here on XS and you will find it....

why does everyone use hot glue? You guys should use mounting tape. Its stronger, easier to apply, and safer to use. I always attach my trimmers using mounting tape. They are a little harder to get off than when attached with hot glue, but its nothing a little bit of pulling cant take care of.
