Get the ATi and send me your Ti4600 :) That's really all up to you and what you want. I won't buy ATi again after my nightmares wtih a couple of R8500's, but I loved my Radeon 64 DDR FE and R7500. Tough choice.
I've not had good experiences w/ ATi...nor have I heard of others having great experiences. I've never killed an NVIDIA card, so I'm rather partial to NVIDIA...I'd say wait for the NV30 ;)

I'm not having any troubles with my radeon 9700 running properly in my either my ECS k7vta3 3.1 or the MSI kt3 Ultra 2. And it ran fine in my kx7-333 before i killed it. So i'd say if you want teh fastest and you want it now ... get the radeon. If you want to be the first one on the block to get a badass nv30 start saving now ... you'll need the $$$

This has turned put to be a bit of a toughy of a question since the 9700 has proved so quick but fragile.
If you were only going for the score, no matter what, then go for it.
If you are going for something you want to be happy with the drivers and games and stuff then wait.
Personally if I were you I'd wait to see how the dual Pentium DDR chipsts perform, get the best of those and then either get the nv30 or R350.
Regards
Andy

Probably going to wait for the NV30(after all the facts are in).
You and I Both know:
There is No End to this Madness,i.e.,Vendor A vs. Vendor B.
I guess it all depends on how far you want to go(impress everybody),or how much Change is in your Wallet!
But, in the meantime I'm Still 'gonna PUSH IT for what it's worth!
