It seems im a little stuck on what to do now to get more out of my current setup. Im running a 2600 mobile. nf7-s w/ L12 mod, 1gb mushkin bh-6 pc3200 (special 2-2-2), fortron 530, and air cooling with a sp97 w/ 92mm tornado. The highest FSB i can prime with tight timings (2-2-2-11) is 215, and with relax (2.5-3-3-11) i can only get up to 225. Volts are 1.8 core, 2.9 mem, and 1.6 chipset and agp. I have tried out two nf7-s boards and both got me the same FSB's. I havent done any vmods as im still trying to figure out all this OC stuff ;) Ive raised the volts to 1.9 core to see if i could get anything higher, but got nowhere. Any suggestions on what else i can do to try to get more FSB?

I forgot to mention i am using tictac's D23 3d-fire bios. i have APIC, system & video cacheable, and enhanced PCI disabled. CPU interface enabled along with agp & fsb spread spectrum at .50%

First thing you have to know is that you are working on a 2x512 setup versus the 2x256 setup.

Some people have had success pushing a gig setup pretty good, but for the most part it is notoriously harder to get a solid overclock with that much system ram.

A Vdimm mod may help you reach a bit higher, but I would start out testing each stick using memTest86. Do each stick seperately to see if they both error out at the same fsb. If one stick can go for 5fsb or higher before getting errors, then the bad stick is holding you back.

I would also try the D22 Alpha1 bios, it has worked great in my NF7.

ill give it memtest a try and see what i get. As far as the bios goes, i have a bios saviour with one chip having the d23 and the other has d22 a1 betaking..but both give me the same fsb limits. What does the spread spectrum do? i have tried to search but it doesnt seem many people talk about what to do with that setting..i just leave mine at the default .50%
