I'm about to buy a 3.2C for the rig in my sig, but what spepping is to prefere?
If it will run 4GHz on air, it would be nice..

D1 (AEP) stepping is the best one. SL792 is code for 3.2C D1 (AEP) cpu.

Remember though silicon is silicon. My Sl792 only did 3.9ghz on water.

My SL6WG is a D1 AEP. I haven't had it on air, but with what it does on a stock machI, I'd bet 4 to 4.1 on air pretty easily.
FYI, the SL6WG and -WE are on the list that can be AEP, but may not be. I would think Intel is transitioning entirely to AEP, so more recent pack dates probably increase your odds. Mine was 2/27/04. IIRC the AEP's were to appear in the above box-codes either Dec last year or Jan this. Anytime after that you at least have a shot at one.
....or as The Stilt mentioned, just find a SL792 to be certain.

Mine does 3.7 stable at 1.625 volts with stock HSF. But like LikwidKool said silicon is silicon, nothings guarenteed!
