View Full Version : X800Pro Overclocking Tool

I just got my X800Pro and cannot find out which program to use to overclock this sucker.

I've used Powerstrip which just got mad artifacts if I even tryed to overclock it alittle, Rage3d newest didn't see card, Atitool didn't see clocks at all.


Any help would be nice.


EDIT: Never mind I found it. Go to Powerstrips forum and they have the beta version and it works.:D

Rage3D and Powerstrip both sucks, use Rivatuner low level OC

Always gives the highest OC for me..

I'm also using the Powerstrip beta. So far my stock X800Pro is stable and artifact free at 530/550 (or 530/1100). 535 core is on the edge of stability. I haven't pushed the memory above 1100 yet. 3DMark03 at those frequencies is 11500. Stock was about 10300 IIRC. I'm not completely surprised at the good core overclock, but the memory definitely overclocks better than I expected.

BMG is that on air or water. This one's going on water 2morrow. Just going to let it burn in abit on air.

I got mine from BB online also. Ordered over the weekend and it arrived today.

My results were on air, no mods to the card at all, just plugged it in and installed the new drivers. http://service.futuremark.com/servlet/Index?pageid=/orb/projectdetails&projectType=10&projectId=2506988

Not a stock cpu but stock x800pro. Wrong driver........

thats a sick score! and what do you mean by wrong drivers? your nature is only 5fps low, thats 100 marks loss. man you could be over 30k easy with an overclocked x800 pro and make the top of the orb

If you look at the project info. x800Pro but the driver is a 9800XT. I have an oem, and didn't have the right driver. I found it last night but at like midnight, so didn't get a chance to really play with it till this evening.

I'm really amazed how well the memory overclocks on my board. I just ran 3DMark03 at X800XT Platinum core/memory speeds+, 525/1120 with no artifacts. That's stock, right out of the box.

Update: major screen corruption at 1130 memory. As someone reported earlier, when increasing frequencies the card seems to work perfectly up to a certain point and then completely craps out.

I don't think I'll mod this card at all, as I plan to sell it as soon as I get my hands on an X800 XT Platinum.

:stick: What happened to the bmg that posted the 98xt mods..... JK, I'm sure that someone who couldn't mod their own card would be happy to purchased a modded card...... Notice the staggered ram, lowered placement, and the fact that only a 60x60 heatsink will fit properly with ram sinks?

An interesting piece of info, the leaked beta drivers score about 10% better in 3DMark03 than the just released cat4.5's. The beta's also seem to fix some game problems, like BFV.

I use ATiTools to overclock my X800Pro, just got in this afternoon.

Stock cooling, running at 563/555 :toast:

Ya Rage3d tweak is working now, 3.9cV works really well.
