View Full Version : Need help with SK8V mod...its slightly different than the one in the guides...

Ok i got an SK8V from a friend to mod...

it is different though than the one posted by macci...slightly

according to maccis guide for the Vcore mod i need to solder there:

my board is a bit different as i said though

is that the point i need to solder?The top one of the two dots?

please let me know before i go on doing the mod...

what ground point can i use other than the mounting holes of the heatsink? cos the cpu is gonna be cooled by a mach 2 GT?

think i found the answer

Malves has got a guide for the K8V too

which i think its the same? can someone confirm this?

last thing...can i use as ground a capacitors track on the motherboard?

a capacitor has two colour coded areas..one white and one at the same colour as the PCB....should i solder it in the white colour track? as shown here?
