i am gonna be modding an SK8V for a friend.
were gonna go with the Vcore mod...will pass on the Vdimm mod since its slightly risky to kill the cpu from what i have heard right?
how should i go doing the Vcore mod?
set the vr to its highest...solder it into place
then while the pc is running and having selected the stock voltage in the bios start lowering the resistance?
10K would be the desired value for the VR or would it be wise to go lower than that?macci said with 10Kohms you et 1.92V should i go lower?
while the pc is in the BIOS so that i can monitor its vcore change?
is that a fine way to do it?
i did my droop mods and Vdimm mods in 2 P4C800Es like that so far and had no probs....
would that be safe for the SK8V?
if i ever wanna do the vdimm mod for it what should i know?
