hey hey all ,

first of all , heres my rig :

P4 2.4c
Abit Max3
KHX3500
BBA 9800pro

second of all , my current cooling is :

SP94 on cpu , doing 35-40 degree idle when OC to 267 FSB (3.204ghz) . (max oc is 270-275 , but not stable )
Arctic VGA Silencer on GPU , 9800pro flashed to XT doing 411/465 ( 9800xt stock clocks for everyday using ) and benching at 450-460 / 380-390 .
Stock Abit HeatsinkFan on Northbridge .
Antec1000AMG case with all fans doing 24-25 degree

tird of all , my questions /comments :

well summers starting and i can already see temps rising , case is going to about 28 these days and cpu 40 . so if this sumemr its starting to become hotter and hotter ... well you know . i wanna know with water cooling what temps do you think ill get and do u think i could more oc my cpu to like .... 3.5ghz
:stick: ;) . and would the difference would be noticeable from air ( dont wanna throw some money in there for not much a of a difference)

last of all :

for my wc setup i dont really know what to get , the only thing im almost sure is about the pump. Eheim 1250 . for the rest i dont really know . so can some ppl gimme advice for a good project :)

anyway thanks all

I wouldn't get the WC stuff..it's too dangerous and it's not worth your time.

LOL, dangerous? not worth it? unless your a total klutz, and have no common sense water cooling is NOT dangerous.. And how do you manage to asses what value his time has?:stick:

BTW, Welcome to XTREMEsystems, not the Dell forums...

Sorry I guess me low post count allows for no sarcasm to be detected.....

Your not going to see any major gains by water cooling, you will however be able to maintain more stable temps, with less noise. Your already using decent cooling, and clock gains aren't going to be substancial. You need to consider your motivation, and expectations. If on the other hand your wanting to build an H2O setup for a clean, quiet stable rig, that might gain a small amount in clocks, and just for the sheer experience and knowledge gains, your on the right track.

As Christoph has already mentioned, Pretty much every piece of information you need has been discussed countless times, and a bit of reading will give you some good input as to what to buy, and why.

My suggestion would be to do a little reading here in the H2O section and then ask some more specific questions..

Read up on pumps as well, the 1250 is a good pump, I have one myself, however there are some other choices that can lead to better performance.

Ummm, way to point someone in the wrong direction. No, its difficult to know that was an attempt at sarcastic humor, and even more so for somone that lacks the background to know the facts...

I don't think they're discountinued m8, just heavily backordered. That's just what I've read elsewhere..

Na, not discontinued, seems they are having some issues keeping up with demand though, they get some in, and the inventory gets eaten up by backorders, then they post a new ETA, wait, come in, Backorders.... Viscious, and seems to be a repeat thing for them over the last couple months...

Last time i priced a good water cooling system, i felt i'd be better off spending just 200 bucks more to buy a regular phase change unit that would smoke any WC setup.

Where can you get a phasechange unit that cools the CPU and GPU for 300-450 dollars?
