Thing is I think it's a little too noisy so I'm thinking of replacing the default fan in the psu with a papst fan. I have no specs of the current fan for the psu (have looked on their webpage but no luck). The fan I would like to replace it with is an 80mm 1600 rpm, 20cfm and 17dB fan...

The thing that concerns me is now my psu fan is spinning at 1850 on high load.. maybe 1600 rpm will be too low? I dunno..

I'd open the power supply up and test the fan out in the 'open air'. Test the papst at the same time, as long as the airflow is similar it should be ok.

Most power supply fans hardly push any air, anything over 20cfm should be fine.
