Duron vs Barton vs Tbred

Just wondering how much these CPU's differ in 3dmark 01 OC'ed to the max... maybe like 2.5-2.6ghz and high bus speeds, and of course a 9800pro or Xt. I picked up a 1.6ghz Duron for 37 bucks just wondering what its capable of

bartons are worth 200MHz or 200-400 marks over a tbred at same MHz. durons would be minus 200MHz over tbreds. good price you got there but the small cache will hurt you bad :(

how would it be like dropping 200mhz each though?

i ask because Tbred is 1/2 of Bartons cache, and Duron is 1/4 Tbreds

id throw 2.4v through this poor little duron

Here goes the old cache debate again.... We know where Gf4ti4200 stands, however, I do not believe the difference is as great as he says. I know from personal experience that a barton at 2300mhz will not equal a t-bred at 2500mhz. L2 cache on a P4 architecture will have a much greater effect....probably because of its limited L1 cache.

i dont care about Barton vs Tbred though. Duron has 1/4 Cache of Tbred so how does it run?

i dont have a mobo for it that overclocks. dunno if its worth it to buy one. 500+ compared to what? barton? tbred? any figures to prove this?

my friend got a barton and gained 600 marks over his tbred at same speeds, hope this helps. I am guessing youll LOSE 600 marks over a tbred. might be better to just get a moble barton, they cost less than 100 now

nah, its just cuz i got this duron for 37 bucks and it seems pretty decent.

I have a brand new MSI 865 Neo2-P that i cant use cuz i need new chip

why not just sell the MSi board and get a dirt cheap socket a setup until you got the dough for A64?

well it does, so i ripped a pin off an old pentium 200 and stuck it in the socket, but still did it, and it was touching and all. I was going to return this board and say something like it doesnt work with my 3.0E prescott, then get a DFI infinity hehe. Duron 1.6 + Infinity 250+ FSB! hmm i just may!
