bundy...you could land a 747 with those white LED's!
Wait so it's fesser orange tubing? or is it red but camera makes it look like that? Because I don't think fesser orange tubing exists
It does, but only in 3/8" ID from the Feser page.

Not Really :ROTF: but I'm a noob, what'd you expect  by the time I realized its too much, its already to late for me to return it, so might as well use it anyway. Will definitely go quad sli very soon so It should be enough. Better to have more juice than upgrade later on I guess.

It appears unconventional but it works fine. All my GPU cores are within a couple C of each other and never rise above 32C. Think of it as an F fitting.

Well not really, I just have a 8800GTS 320MB and I'm planning on getting a 4850/4870 soon and I'd want a full cover block with an acrylic top so I didn't want to spend $100 or so on a block for a video card I'm going to get rid of soon. But yeah I've already got sucked into that black whole since I spent way more than I was thinking of spending originally.

I've owned quite a few of both, and I must say that while the frame molds are identical, the blades on the Nexus are slightly more scooped, and have been nicely deburred. They are definitely one notch above the Yates in quality.

One day built on sunday weekend few month ago by adding 2nd loop and mobo with a mediocre tube routing and wire managment.
Realized after that I got a slight flawed mosfet heatsink on the mobos.
Lesson learned :hitself::hitself: always test the gadget first on torture box.
Picture was taken several week later before I sell back the mobo.

Did you cut holes on the side where your rads are on place? How is the air circulating if the fans used as shrouds are attached to a solid plate?
No holes, air goes up and down, they're not really shrouds, only mounts. I'm getting great temps even with the noctuas and no shrouds.

This is the SIlver PCs Mobo Tray>> http://www.silverpcs.com/product_info.php?products_id=181&osCsid=3c7c1d5b3d24ca65da5f2a34ead601ac
and the PPC mobo tray>> http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=130_210&products_id=3387 which for the same price comes with everything inclding the fan...
This the HDD cage >> http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=130_210&products_id=4401
The rest is just .236 acrylic and .125 x 1 aluminum angle
Cool, thanks CyberDruid
Considering how many builds and cases he has, I'm sure he had a spare one lying around the place. BTW how's your build going lyl? How's the 4870?
Going well... The 4870 is beastly! Crysis on high @ 19x12 with 35 average FPS is fun I must say. But it's still blazing hot.
Ive been thinking a lot lately about how I am going to cool the 4870, and I just can't decide. I am trying to stay on a budget, but defiantly want to keep my nice temps. I'm even considering leaving it out of the loop and getting an Accelero or Thermalright's new T-Rad2. If do water, I probably wont be getting a full-cover block even though Ive been waiting for them.
What I cant decide is whether to get a nice 120mm radiator, probably BI GTX120, or a MCR320 for the same price! The 320 would fit in my case at the top (would have to just extend the current MCR240 hole) and i could move the MCR240 to the bottom of the case... would be a lot of radiator in a small case. Hard drives and pumps would consequently have to find a new home.
Or just get the GTX120 which mounts a lot easier and probably not overkill. The question is Xtreme shall i get? decisions decisions...
MomijiTMO

taylormsj
07-08-2008, 06:34 AM
Please tell me how the outlet being on the left makes any difference from it being on the right?
As long as the 'outlet is placed at the top when the computer is upright' (taken from manual) the orientation is fine :)
C38368
07-08-2008, 06:42 AM
How is that orientation incorrect? D-TEK's manuals both say to position the outlet barb on the top to help with bleeding, but aside from making the D-TEK logo sit square to the world, there is no compelling reason not to turn it 90° in one direction, depending on the way the motherboard mounts...
Haha, I know guys. (ie "no harsh criticisms"). I agree, logically it does not matter as long as outlet is on top. I'm mainly referring to completely flipped ones I've been seeing lately.

Are you using an aluminum reservoir?
Yes anodised aluminum. I have been using it for 2 years now in various setups. Never had any problems with the copper parts if that is what you mean.
wondered how long that would take :ROTF:
Aluminium reservoir is not a problem if tou have cooling liquid instead of water. Cooling liquid has in it a negative catalyst to avoid corrosion.
The same situation is with anodised aluminum.

Next system will be different, way less restrictive and with pneumatic connectors. Poor LAING cannot show its potential there :p:
EDIT: No, it's not 10/8 tubing, it's EVEN LESS 8/6 tubing. Don't really feel the need for high-flow as the temperatures are as low. Why take chances with pressure?

All you guys :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing at NaMcO for the elbows really should try using the fittings and tubing he is before opening your mouths. PUR is much stiffer than anything the "barb" or "compression" crowd uses. It feels nice and flexible outside the case but then it does something weird when you try to put it in......it doesn't bend very well......how do I know? It's what I use for most of my builds.

The pump is a hot water service pump as rafwlkp said. Without my "mods" it looks like that:
http://www.cerpadla-neptun.cz/media/goods/1168931920.jpg
Such pumps were pretty popular here in Poland before 12V Laings came in. Some people still prefer them because of their high reliability and very low noise (comparable to MCP655 at first gear).

Right, just looked at your system and thought of some ideas...
You can use a 1 inch hole saw to make the following openings and then put a gromet into the hole so that it doesnt cut you open whilst your fiddlin around.
1st Hole: cpu power cable and fan cable (rotate 1/4 turn clockwise so that fan cable is closer to the opening)
2nd hole: Psu and IDE cable (it will go through with some Persuasion!!)
3rd hole: GPU, pump and sata cable
4th Hole: USB connectors and jump leads
Once all the leads are at the back of the MB tray, tye them together so that it sits behind the 5.25 cage
This should hide most of the cables for you. Hope this helps!! :)

One question real quick
Im planning on using 8 fans for a Feser rad 480 once it comes out
However, rad only comes with 16 screws for 4 fans and I would need 16 more screws to mount 4 more fans on the other side of the rad
Which size should I buy out of all of this? (Preferibly, same size as the ones that come with the rad)
