Feser dyes are really very good :) a few drops will be sufficient for the whole loop, and a 50ml bottle will last you for about 7 - 10 loops.

I gotta get that Metallic coil :D

Did you cut that top fan hole yourself, or is that a new addition for the 570 Aurora?

I think he cut that by himself. I've had a 570 recently and it didn't have that blowhole.

He did a pretty good job with it though, it looks like it's really part of the case :)

Thank you! I actually use an N95 8GB, but for these pictures, my friend and I used a Nikon D40, since I wanted the pictures to look nice :)

The only problem I get with the crucial tracers I have is that the blue leds on the bottom don't light up. I think there's a voltage limit on my board or something.

I have the same problem but with the white leds..... I don`t no why :s
On my P5W DH DELUXE don´t happen that :s

I don´t think that is a problem of voltage limit.......I think the memorys have a bug or something :s

Well believe it or not I know a forum member in Iraq, running an overclocked E6850@3.8ghz and 3 8800GTX cards in SLI on a koolance setup (with one added radiator) and his temps aren't that bad at all... Will contact Gizmo to show some pictures of his (messy untidy) rig (he hates cable management) and some screenshots of temps...

with those T junctions supplying water to your chipset loop, especially with it being smaller bore tubing, how do you get ANY flow? Unless I'm missing a hidden pump I think you'd be much much better off with Ys not Ts.. I could see water boiling on your chipset rather than cooling it???

Hehe, I also changed the red sata to a black sata.
The end of the IDE cable now ends at the very top instead of bending straight to where it connects too. I think it looks a lot cleaner than that.
Added a extension cable for my Lian Li Card Reader, but I'm having a problem with it right now, hehehe. It's gotten SLOW at reading/writing.

@ jarvo1

with those T junctions supplying water to your chipset loop, especially with it being smaller bore tubing, how do you get ANY flow? Unless I'm missing a hidden pump I think you'd be much much better off with Ys not Ts.. I could see water boiling on your chipset rather than cooling it???

Apologies if I've missed something :)

I dont think you're missing anything, I have the T-junctions, 3/8" tubing and only one DDC1 Ultra pump but the flow to the chipsets is fine (using a PA120.2 for the GPU's + chipsets). I could see air bubbles flying through the tubing while bleeding it and my chipset temps have dropped by ~15C compared to the stock cooler which is perfectly fine by me :)

I originally wanted y's instead of t's but 1/2" tubing wouldn't fit on the SB (unless i'm mistaken) and I'm pretty sure nobody makes a y-splitter with one 1/2" and one 3/8" outputs, or if they do you can't buy them in the UK (again, unless I'm mistaken).

This is still only really my first attempt at watercooling and I'm still learning and doing as much research as I can before I buy and mod anything so all your feedback is more than welcome.

Yes, but where the ducting is connected to the ac unit it isn't sealed. So the air instead of trying to be forced through that long length of duct will just vent out the side.

very amusing.. however one way that really could work is if you bought a load of tubing and put your RAD next to the ac unit. That may well make a huge difference if its super cold air hitting it??

Just a thought, instead of having the dryer hose or even running the rad all the way over to the A/C, just build a water chiller. You already have the A/C, just take it apart, get a cooler and some antifreeze and put together a water chiller. It just seems like you would be better off taking the hose down and just cooling the room.

Just my 2 cents.

your rig needs some TLC bud . . .first . . .get the Thermaltake stuff out of there . . .I had two of those blocks that cracked and leaked in my earlier builds . . .

Next . . . you need to do some serious wire managment and organizing. You have a nice tower (huge) that deserves some love. Check out the Bitspower powerstations for having one psu cable power many peripherals

Here is a rev2, not quite complete. Not sure what I think about the blue powder coat I chose. The flash on this camera makes the blue look a little more pale that it actually is. You guys think the outer radiator shroud should be blue also? Other comments? (beside me puting the CPU block inlet on the top, or the ApogeeGTX top non copper) I welcome all comments and suggestions. I'm not liking the blue personally...I like rev 1 better colorwise, although for rev 2 I finally got my tubing, wiring, and such the way I want it.

thank you for doing what we were all thinking, NV, in your next Nforce board (which you should put soundstorm back on), please remove all the suck from your northbridge fan before you ship it.

And just a word to the wise: I got a couple of really nasty pics of an absolutly astonishingly bad TIM application job on my 680i board. I heard its better now, but, if you're liquid cooling your CPU, I'd hate to see you get pulled down by your NB because its too hot. Putting on some decent paste got me 3C back. Heres the pic from the bottom of my 680i NB hs after removal:

First liquid cooling build, took about 10x longer than I planned (and about 10x the budget x_x)

Used this site quite a bit for this project and learning about WC in general - much thanks for the amazing amount of helpful info!

Build is a Mountain Mods UFO Duality, left side is MB + blocks etc, right side is Hard drives, 2nd pump/fan controller/dvd + misc. Wedged between the 2 sides is the hidden PSU - tried to hide most of the cords in there. Still waiting on an RMA for one of the Enermax cluster case fans (led's not working) and need to tidy up some fingerprints and a bit more wire management, but finally closing in on the finish line for this project.

The colored loop is purple, though it looks a bit pinkish in the pics
Radiators are 2x PA120.3 each in a push/pull fan setup.
Waterblocks are Danger Den ~

I have a similar rad to that, an XSPC, although mine also has a tank. I cut a hole in the top of my lian-li, but not the same cut as that. Here's what I did:

http://meh-space.com/userfiles/blitz/project/sm2Rads.JPG (http://meh-space.com/userfiles/blitz/project/2Rads.JPG) http://meh-space.com/userfiles/blitz/project/smTopGood.jpg (http://meh-space.com/userfiles/blitz/project/TopGood.jpg) http://meh-space.com/userfiles/blitz/project/smFinalCut.JPG (http://meh-space.com/userfiles/blitz/project/FinalCut.JPG)

So it's just a cut out for the 2 fan holes, but due to space limitations I had to fit the rad closer to the top anyway. I measured it all by hand, then cut, as the radiator mounts were just a pain in the ass to get right. If you like, I can give you the dimensions.

Well, this is it. There is still some tuning to come.

You might ask yourself, why the tubes go into the case. Well, I didn't want them to be at the back, I had it like that a couple of times but I didn't really like it. I think this is much better.

Ah and yes, this is no mora 2 Pro, this is a mora2 core built into the fan-adapter so you can mount fans on it :)

And I agree, a dimmer effect would look sweet, even if it does look great now too.

l33t p1mp, lighting tends to work better if you hide the cathodes so that it simply shines onto the components and so that you can't see the cathode directly - indirect lighting.

For those that remember rev1 earlier: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2951811&postcount=8482

http://www.algidpc.com/Retouched/thumbs/07SideFullOpenthumb.JPG

Here is a rev2, not quite complete. Not sure what I think about the blue powder coat I chose. The flash on this camera makes the blue look a little more pale that it actually is. You guys think the outer radiator shroud should be blue also? Other comments? (beside me puting the CPU block inlet on the top, or the ApogeeGTX top non copper) I welcome all comments and suggestions. I'm not liking the blue personally...I like rev 1 better colorwise, although for rev 2 I finally got my tubing, wiring, and such the way I want it.

The rad wont fit inside the top of the case, because of the other graphics`s card .even with no fan`s on the inside..and don't really want to move the bottom lay out to much at the minute,so that`s why i have put the rad out side, till i decide what i`m doing with the motherboard and graphic`s card`s.all so will be changing the rubbish read sata cable`s`..lol

Nope, using 4 door stops like these and screwed them in from the bottom of the case to the rad. Bit fiddly but totally secure

yep the PSU is relocated at the bottom front. Used a right angled power cable, running from the front to the top of the psu then through the bottom vent ( the bottom fans ) to the outside of the case

thanks for your comment,i put it that way for a reason ,that pump i`m using is more than powerful enough, as you proberly well no,and if the water circulates slower the water move`s slower though the block and allowing the heat to transfer better from the block to the water, and with an idle temperature of 29c cpu @3.2 i dont think that is to bad

*scratches head*

The rate of heat transfer is dependent upon the delta. The greater the difference in temperature, the faster the transfer rate. Accordingly, the longer the water remains in contact with the CPU, the less efficient heat transfer will be, and the less heat-per-molecule is transferred to the coolant. There is absolutely no benefit to having your coolant in contact with your CPU for longer periods of time, in fact doing so will reduce the amount of heat transferred.

By all means, if you can't be bothered, leave the loop as it is. As you say, your temps are fine. But you aren't getting better temps by slowing down the flow of coolant.

Dude, this is basic science. It's not like a "vinegar vs tomato sauce" or "higher head vs higher flow rate" debate where there's ambiguity, it's just not open for debate without extensive controlled testing. Your watercooled rig is not immune to the laws of physics; if you're getting lower temps with a lower flow-rate, some other variable has changed.

As I said, not the cleanest but the 900 was a challenge to work because it's quite small to fit a full size watercooling system inside.

I plan on getting a PC-P80 and a couple 4870X2's when they're released, with some other goodies as well.

The new revision has a copper top with the acrylic piece on top. No leaks are good. :D

Either way, all acrylic tops are fine so long as you don't over-tighten the barbs which is a lot harder than it sounds.

You heve old or new revision Enzotech blocks? No leak ?;)

These are new rev. but you have to be careful not to overtighten them. Also it is preferable to use the included hose barbs cause as Enzotech describes it in the manual total thread length greater than 7mm / 0.28 inc will cause damages to the top (cap).
So far no leaks.:yepp:

It's hard looking through 160+ pages of watercooling. It's fun and addicting but it takes time. I've finally gotten through most of it (I did skip some pages though) and I have to say I've seen some amazing cases that have inspired me to continue with my designs. Currently I've got a single loop cooling a 9850BE and two 3870's. EK Supreme and Swiftech MCW60's. Here are the photos of it finished (for the moment).

WTH is that pump mod you speak off. You may have just made the TT solution 100 times better lol.The P500 is an combined pump/res combo where the pump inlet is attached by a barb to the reservoir. All that's been done above is to attach another pump to the hole where the P500 pump used to be - the Tt pump is nowhere to be seen.
