The first LC case I ever built was the initial version of that with the 80mm rear fan. I ran an AquaXtreme 50Z, Transmission cooler, Storm and custom res, shroud. P4 3.0e at 4 ghz `1.55Vcore 45C load Folding.
Liked it so much I built another 5 years later with a PA 160, db-1, Fuzion for my B3 Q6600 rig.

never mind the gravel - it'll add to the pain of surrounding casualties when that dynamite stick blows up!   :p:  j/k
It's a nice drawing, but I did draw mine as well, and it didn't turn out anything like the drawing (might have something to do with impatience :p ), but when you rutn the mobo like that, all the heat from mosfets etc. is going to end up in the southbridge. Might be an idea either to fit a ec block on top of the SB block, or switch to wc of the mobo ;)

Nice setup. Any inside pics of this case? I have the same case (though wiring not that neat) but only one pa120.3 at top, but I need to put a second loop in, trying to get some ideas where to put PA 120.2 for ultra. Looks like 2nd rad in bottom?, but then where is power supply?
No radiator in the bottom. I mounted a Danger Den Black Ice 120 rad where the 3 3.5 drives use to be. I mounted some modders mesh on the inside of the front panel. It took a little bit of dremel work, but it fits good. With a little more work I'm pretty sure you could get a 220 rad in there no problem....and of course you will lose one of the 80mm intake fans in the process.
Power supply is on the top. You can see the green micro res resting on the front of it.
BTW the case is a Lian-Li Classic Series PC-75B. If your PSU is at the bottom then you have a different case. I only have the option of mounting the PSU on the top.

Hey CD, what case is that? it looks very similar to what VoodooPC is using on their new case...
The case is an Antec NSK 4400.
No radiator in the bottom. I mounted a Danger Den Black Ice 120 rad where the 3 3.5 drives use to be. I mounted some modders mesh on the inside of the front panel. Thanks, I do have different case, mine is PC G70, but very similar to yours, power can go up top or bottom, but dont think my power supply will fit up top with my rad, but maybe. I will have to do some mods no matter where I put it, but up front is another idea, thanks for the pics.

Yeah I know the ODD sticks out..damned drive is 1/2" longer than most. I was too cheap to get a shorter one and the client didn't care.
I am definitely going with the "Neopolitan" reservoirs next time: three loops is the bomb.

Here's my contribution to the thread. Long time lurker, first water cooling system. Starting out simple, with cpu only loop. Some things I forgot to do: Make an extension from the rpm of the dcc to the cpu header, sleeve my ghetto hard drive cooler's wires, and rotate it so the wires are closer to the other side. Placement of the T-line isn't aesthetically pleasing imo. If theres anything I could improve on, please let me know!

Hi, nice clean build you got there!
One thing I found with my TJ07 is that you can hide the HDD cage fan wire using the gap at the bottom of the 5.25" bay so that it runsinto the bottom compartment instead of hanging around in the top compartment.

Hi there
Dont really have a work log as such but did get loads of good ideas from diff people (AndyM and Ladderman to name a few)
Do have a few pics of the back panel and lower compartment. Will take a few more tom as well!
Basically I made 4x1 inch holes in the MB tray using a holesaw and plugged them with rubber gromets (1 for CPU power, MB power, Video card and jumpers).
Have also made a 3 inch hole in the gulley of the divider behind the MB tray using a dremel and a reinforced cutting disc.
I also used door stops to prop up the rad. Had to drill 4x holes in the bottom of the case to secure them.
Hope this helps. Good luck with the modding!

Wanted to post a follow up but with the holidays I have been offline for a bit..
Just to clear up any confusion I am an end-user for the Murderbox, I was involved in some of the design and layout but the craftsmanship was all Charles at Murderbox.
I was so excited and happy with the results I had to post the pics here and tried to answer questions to the best of my abilities.. the Murderbox is a commercial product and in hindsight I should probably have been more clear about that.
I saw a post that was asking about costs.. these finished machines are definitely in the top price brackets for custom PC's. Each machine is a hand made computer for its owner and as such each one is unique in many aspects including costs. As someone who laid out his cold hard cash for one I think the value in these pieces of art are clearly visible.
The best analogy I could think of is one from the car world. The Muderbox is much like the custom coach builders, taking a proven chassis and constructing hand made custom machines of impeccable detail and quality, think Boyd Coddington, Chip Foose and so on. As good as all the comments about the workmanship have been from the pics I can tell you that in person the level on detail and execution is even more outstanding.
I moved web hosts over the holidays and the images were lost but they are all available with some more at the Murderbox site, just click Gallery. The 'glowy' shots proved to more of a challenge in matching the exposure of the outside to the inside of the case.. the Options page on the site shows you the darker glowy look.
Hope everyone had a great holiday season and happy modd'n on 08'

No problem! Be glad to help. Preparing the case wasn't hard at all.
I removed the 3 HDD holder in the front lower portion of the case to make room for the radiator (Thermochill 120.2). I screwed 4 standoffs into the 4 holes on one side of the thermochill and then using 2 of the pre-drilled drive bay holes (they line up prefect) for the front of the radiator, and drilling the other 2 for the rear standoffs (into the drive bay). FYI i used the fan from the HDD bay i removed (and one from another case) for the FRONT of the radiator for looks, and it does increase the airflow versus just having the panaflos pushing into the back. I also removed the foam dust collector pads that were in the front drive bay covers to increase air flow (and looks).
We tried mounting the pump several different ways, but the best method we found was using 2 layers of 3m automotive trim tape on the pumps back. This stuff never lets go. As you can see i bought some 1/2" elbows for the pumps outlet over to the bottom of the radiator. Another thing i did, which is optional: I use a 700w thermaltake modular power supply which has a fan on the bottom. This fan is blocked by the rear-top HDD bays. I turned the power supply around so the fan faces the back of the case, and then cut a matching hold into the aluminum case side. Just by freak coincidence we have a C02 laser (My dad has extravogent hobbies) so i cut 1/4" Plexiglas with louvers for air intake to fit the hole and make it look nice. I also cut Plexiglas to mount the swiftech reservoir as you can see in the picture. With the laser we can cut anything wood or plastic up to 1/2" thick, it just needs to be a Corel-Draw X3 or autocad drawing. If you like i can cut another swiftech mount and mail it to you for free, it only takes a few seconds to make.

Yea he has that Swiftech Radbox. I'm really that the Radbox is sturdy enough to hold that 480GTX......because I would've had to fabricate a bracket for it if not.....there isn't any way it would fit in my case without relocating the SATA cage and the top 5.25" cage.
I wish I could have mounted the top of the rad flush with the case....but as you can see that isn't possible with the location of the 120mm exhaust case fan.
I may look into drilling some holes....
I still have to take my dremel to the top fill port hole and widen it......looks like crap with it poking out like that:rofl:

Ok, I was going to ask the above question until I noticed that you cut the Swiftech mount from 1/4" Plexiglas using a CO2 Laser. I'll have to analyze my options to see if I can come up with a solution.

No, the only way it's incorrect is to have the input facing down, so it has to suck water upwards.

Something Irrelevant: Can you benchmark one card, then two, then three? I think two is a waste of money, but three is the "I have too much money to know what to do with" level. Just wondering :D

Thanks.
They're Primochill coils in gloss red. Each tube has a single continuous coil and then I spaced them like that. I initially had them spaced very close together:
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/4961/caseside1gw1.jpg
but it was too much red. In order to show more of the black tubing (or at least give the impression of more black), I respaced them.
It took quite some time to do and I don't want to see another coil for a long time :p:

It is in Hellmouth with QX9650 under modded phase change. The 780i and tri SLI are temp until I get dual procs for my Skulltrail mobo and a 4th 8800 GTX . . .and until DD (hopefully they will let me help) works out a way to cool all 4 GPUS on the Skulltrail . . .card spacing is tight . . .also gonna use my phase unit to waterchill the Skulltrail's two CPUS.
My new DayWalker build will have dual 780i rigs in one case and either SLI or TRI SLi depending on what GPUS come my way ;)

You´re gonna need a very big case for that stuff^^
The 4 GTX´s alone need 2 Loops.
Anyway.. What are you planing to do with this System?
4 GTX´s and 2 QX9650 what the hell ;) I mean i like "extreme stuff" but no game even supports QuadSLI and when the new GF9Series arrive in March/April, 2 of them will outperform 4x8800GTX QuadSLI, already because no Game/Benchmark will fully support QuadSLI..
But i can´t wait to see your finished result :) Did you pay for everything yourself or do you have a sponsor too?
