It's a water-cooled rig, and a very nice one at that, so can't see any reason to whine
Could maybe take issue with the hippy backdrop, but that's down to personal taste :D
I've been following this thread for some time, and really don't see what all the fuss was about earlier
I'm currently working on my 1st WC rig and hopefully will be able to post some pics soon.
I would like to say that I've been extremely impressed with all the rigs shown so far, and I've got a lot of inspiration from following this thread.
Thanks to all.
lol i didn't even notice that poncho till you mentioned it

Okay let the whining begin.
Looks great CD.
I'd like to see more pics of the inside if you have them.
On the whinging, it's complete rig now so no should complain. Showing pics of an incomplete rig, and in fact, component assembly (such as pump mount construction, among others), amount to a work log, and as such, are not in the purview of this topic.
Please let's not go down this road again for the sake of the topic.

alright I've been here enough it's time for some pics. Pre disclaimer, I had to flash back to bios 901 on the striker and slap in the old e6400, and STILL am stuck on CPU init. Hence why there is no RAM or CMOS bat in, still working on getting it going, and took 1 rad out of the loop so I can change things faster while trying to make this :banana::banana::banana:ing thing come back to life.
Prior PC is in sig, hope to have it back up soon.]
Not as good as what some of you have, but it works for me.
As a side note if anybody knows a good pair of DDR2 800mhz + sticks 2x1gb or 2x2gb that will work period with the striker I'm all ears.

Seeing that Corsair was the first memory company that jumped into the EPP bandwagon, I would have to recommend the Dominators. Two gigs can be found here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145043), but if you're running Vista, then I would recommend going with four gigs which can be found here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145179) at the same site. I would recommend avoiding the PC2-6400 model of Dominators though since they're using the Promo chips rather than Micron-D9s. Hope this helps.

As per my sig I'm running the dominators, and they have massive issues with the striker
I'll also note that EPP is a sure way to screw everything up with the dominators. Best way to get a CPU init lock and stuck with a 4 hr clear cmos.
I'm ready to slap the ram into an HTPC and buy a new pair so long as it works.
EDIT:
I might just be stupid, but this is the first time I've had this level of issues, and my ram isn't on the qvl, so..

I am going to build a rig with garden hose pretty soon though...
No case: just a pipe frame work that actually is functional :p:
gonna use a lot of bibs on that too--all different kinds...
andof course 5/8 green garden hose.
BTW the polybraid is hold up a little better than Clearflex...it is very stiff and tends to get stiffer...but at the rate I rebuild my rigs it hardly matters. It makes the dye look really good though.

No...it was a real trick getting one ;) A friend in Singapore was kind enough to fly one in for me.
One fine day, you should visit Singapore (if you haven't already). They have two shopping malls, both of which have about six to seven floors of shopping. They sell only computer hardware. Its like a wet dream come true. In the 1970s and 1980s, they used to sell software and cd movies by the kg. ...roflmao... I did indulge myself a little lol... {was from there.. not anymore... but my brother still sends me stuff..}
However, that is nothing... nothing... compared to Akihabara in Tokyo.... remember the silly rap song.. gangsta's paradise? Akihabara is like a geek shangri-la lol :)

This isn't my first wc setup, i think its my 3rd, but its definately the biggest.
i screwed my loops up a bit which i'll fix when i have time :shakes: .
overkill is probably an understatement but it was fun :).
at the moment this is how it's setup -
loop 1 = pump 1 -> rad 1 -> cpu -> gpu's
loop 2 = pump 2 -> rad 2 -> mosfet's -> NB -> SB.
Pump 1 is a danger den d5, pump 2 is a liang ddc, rad 1 is a pa120.3 and rad 2 is a black ice gtx 240.
when i change the loops i will separate the cpu and graphics cards, but should i match the cpu with nb and sb or the mosfets?
any advice is apreciated, unless it involves a trash can :p: i'll better manage my cables when i change the loop
one more thing, i have 2 of those silencer 750's so i have a bunch of power to spare.
i'm open to ideas as to how i can use this spare power to chill my loops?
silent is preferable, i was even thinking of sticking a TEC on a radiator but that seemed stupid.
i dont want to take off any water blocks tho.

I'd put the CPU with the NB. Although the NB probably runs about as hot as a GPU if you overclock, it will be easier to get tubing to the NB.
Nice setup though, I would clean up the cable management a bit, but other than that, great! What dye did you use in your liquid? It actually looks red, not pink! :ROTF:

the dye is fliuid xp, it was called blood red. i agree with u about the cable management and with blaqmale about the radiator. the cables i can fix but the rad is too much trouble. i'm using this system as a gaming rig and htpc, i also use it to download. this means i want it on 24/7 and no flashy lights (its in my bedroom), so i don't have a clear panel on the side plate. i even unpluged the hdd and power lights! for those reasons im not really concerned about how it looks on the inside (to some extent), i'm more concerned about performance and temps.
so you reckon pair the cpu with the nb? what should i do with the sb? stick it with the rest? cheers for the fast replies too

He said he used Fluid XP colour blood red. I've just been checking their website, but can't seem to find that colour in EU. There are some AU resellers listed on their website - maybe you'll have better luck
I'm gonna try some red Feser View dye and see if that's better than the pink dyes I've tried so far.

yeah, i agree - too much pink... in that PC case that is ;) :p:
i wanna get a nice blood red - i'm a lil worried that if i go a red dye, it'll fade over time, & so i was considering this:

The blue one is 600 and the other one when complete is 1200. ACRyan is going to be making all the parts needed to make your own reservoir. They will also be making the xPRZ sFX too. I will be sending them a new sFX design shortly after they start making these parts. You can make your own sFX too.

what fluid did you use?
Xilikon

Did you flush the radiator first ? If not, it's the flux from the radiator building process staining the tubing.

I used distilled water and a few drops of anti algae. And i flushed my rad :p
I refilled it last week. The water in my res is clean, but it hate the white look on my Tygon :(

Nice ... why wasn't it silent vertical ? was it what you had it fixed to/the way it was fixed, or purely due to vertical mounting ?

No bad at all considering. If you could sleeve that wiring it would go a long way to cleaning up the build if that's what you want. It's not hard at all to do and really adds a custom finsih to the build, and it's fun adding another dimension to custom builds with the different colors and all.
Great start and congrats,

I don't doubt that its good workmanship but it just looks like you've taken an already tacky case and given it a dusting of pc world/asus vento appeal and wound up with something rather unpleasant.
