That would be an Antec SpotCool, amazing little thing. I will eventually buy another to get rid of the OCZ XTC cooler.

Uhhh, would you laugh if i said 3M moulding tape
The way the stacker 830 fan is held up there (with some silly plastic mounting bracket), I could figure no other way as space is very limited. But it works :)

YY-0420 with the doors off I believe.
The YY's are a very nice cube case alternative if your on a tighter budget than a MM or LL will allow.

GPU Idle: 42C (Load temps not available atm).. Well in my case, having the GPU on its own loop would probably be an overkill since im getting ideal temps as it is.
Oh btw, CPU is clocked at 3ghz, Gpu 600mhz and vcore is set 1.36v.
I think you have one of your RAM sticks in the wrong slot

You're welcome.
:) Hi everyone, I have not posted on this thread before but have just finished rebuilding my rig.
This is my first venture into liquid cooling and I have to say a big thank you to many threads in these forums, they provided invaluable help on how to set everything up. This is the quietest rig I have ever built thanks to the Mcubed BigNG fan controller, it's absolutely brill!
Anyway.....some pics.....not as good as some of the great rigs in this thread but not bad for my first go.

Remove the HDD rack if you are watercooling, You can easily fit a decent radiator up from if it is removed.

Aargh, no! Elbow fittings! Bad!
Seriously, they slaughter your flow rates - if it's at all possible, try and get a run of tubing between your CPU block and rad, rather than the elbow.

i know mate but its that tight, tubing kinks, i tried many options and besides a 15mm copper plumbing fitting is much bigger than the 7/16 tube bore so i doubt it even makes a diff

That copper elbow isn't as bad as most elbows. It has a more gradual bend to it than the typical right-angle on the others. And, judging by the temps, it's fine.

quite simply, a myth. they effect some, but no where near kill, slaughter or destroy flow rates. depending on the type of elbow, and present flow rate, very little effect if any at all on temps.

Heh, I just managed to sell the CPU/Mobo/RAM, and am ordering a Q6600 today, and a cheap 965-DS3 to hold me over until the DFI-P35 LP makes it's way to New Zealand. :D
I have a nice set of Crucial Ballistix 8500 to pair up with it. :)

Ur tubing is way too long for that small loop...
Does it matter seeing as DDC has a huge amount of head, presure and flow...erm nope!
He could put the pump up on where that inverter is and use the veritcal inlet and it would be uber short

Please let me know if there is something that you would not use or do or do somehow differently

Look at your graphic card's PCB!!!
The waterblock is bending the PCB :(
Loosen the bolts a bit and than it will be just fine.
(i got the same when i was installing mine...)
Yeah, I know
The stupid EK waterblock did not fitted perfectly on my x1950xtx. The screws were too short, so I had to use/make some custom screws. When I noticed the bended PCB I was prepared for the worst, but hey, it's still working. But maybe I will try loosen it up (if the screw is not too short).
Somehow my videocards always bend after adding custom cooling (you should had seen my 9800pro with zalman heatsink + fan).
PCB are quite strong, so I'm not afraid, and even if it fails, it's only a good excuse to buy a 2900xt :)

Current config:

p5n32-e
2 x 2gb Mushkin pc6400
Evga 8800 GTX
Netcell 3-port RAID card
Dvico HD TV tuner
150gb RaptorX (sys - Vista)
3 x 74 GB Raptors (apps - Netcell RAID)
Maxtor 200gb (Unbuntu + XP)
Seagate 250gb (PCLinuxOS)
WD 400gb (data)
Seagate 500gb (media)
Temjin tj07
Swiftech cp350
TDX (being replaced with an Apogee GTX)
Koolance vr block
Corsair nb
DD res
Swiftech dual 120mm 676 rad (old model but thin and has adjustable fittings)
Aqua computer single 120mm rad
and I think that's it. Here are some pics:

The whirlwind mess I make when building:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/kenergy/temjin/DSCN2147.jpg
It is not fully done yet. Obviously I have to change the cpu block to accommodate the q6600 thermals, and might play around with some rad/fan configs. Also, I have to mod the upper hd cage in the 5.25" bays, and mod the bay covers. I have painted covers but will probably end up using LL perforated covers. Additionally, I might change the stock top exhaust grill to an AC Ryan or Aqua computer one.
I had 4 rigs, but now only have 1 and 2 Macs to streamline my setups since I can only give all my systems so much time each. But there is a need to build a second rig, and I am getting new ideas and amassing extra parts so it is high time that I start building. I'll post it when I am done. Hope you guys like it.

Quick question, do cold cathodes affect water temps inside a case ?
It would depend on how close to the tubing the cathode was and what sort of cathode we're talking about here, but even in a worst-case scenario the increase would be a fraction of a degree.
This should really be in a new thread.

What for 2900Xt is that !
You have 3 heatpipes, I only got 2 of them....
And your card is running @ 830/850, mine is running @850/1000, so you can clock some harder :D
Nice WC sets btw, all of you !
it's a sapphire card. And now that it's on water it does 890/1050 @ 43c.

Meh, cable management aside...tell me how I can "improve" the tube management? This is my first build, so my apologies for "screwing up".
The "red" liquid is just distilled water with red food coloring added to it. I did add some of the "pink" anti-corosion liquid I got with the kit first.

No need to apologize, first loop is usually a bit rougher than the next ones. My loop has some extra tubing in it as well, I'm just too lazy to clean it up :p:
Here is what I see that you can do:
1. Rotate your Fuzion so the logo is upright, then run to the rad. Cut the tubing shorter by a few inches, you could probably remove 3-5 inches from that run.
2. Shorten the tubing from the rad to the res. Don't do it too much so that it kinks but you could lose a couple inches from there.
That would neaten it up quite a bit :)

See, this is exactly what I need. Thank you Sparky :D I will work on that this weekend. So the D-Tek logo should be facing up towards the PSU? Also, what would be the best way to drain a system? As I'm sure I should so I don't screw anything up while remounting the block.
SparkyJJO
08-02-2007, 03:10 PM
The Dtrk logo when upright is on the bottom of the block, so then the outlet is on the upper right. Basically turn the block a quarter turn to the right.
Not sure on how to drain the system, I haven't drained mine before lol

LOL it isn't fun let me tell you that. For darkjedi's setup I'd either pull the pump out from under the PCI cards and set it in a bowl if the tubes are long enough, and pull one. If that wont work, I'd set a bowl under the res and pull the bottom tube out.
Waterlogged
08-02-2007, 10:55 PM
DarkJedi, you could probably clean the loop up even further than stated by SparkyJJO. Here's what I would do on top of spinning the D-Tek, take the pump and stand it up under the res with inlet pointing towards back of case, have outlet go to rad, rad to Fuzion, Fuzion to GPU block, GPU block back to res.
As for draining, you can unbolt the res and undo the cap, turn it upside down into a bowl or something/somewhere else for reuse/disposal, and gently crack loose the top hose on the Fuzion to get a good flow going.

I believe it's standard with the Alphacool Cape Coolplex reservoirs, it's an acrylic tube that prevents air bubbles from immediately getting sucked back in.

With only 1 DDC and 3 rads (1 a GTS), that's got to be restrictive as all hell. Making matters worse is the AGB res on the DDC.

Well true, if you're refering to me copying the design I should have explained better. I'll be copying the overall look, loop layout will have to be different due to my hardware (see sig for a general idea). Trouble2000, do you have the sizes you cut the black acrylic down to still handy? If possible could you PM them to me?

What do you mean by restrictive? I think the flow is alright, quite fast i think.

yeah.. in the open case pics the white ties do stand out a bit. but its not as bad in night pic with case light... maybe u can find some red ones, or paint the white ones red.. experiment - u might find something that hits a spot with u!
edit: hang on a tick, r u using them to clamp the tubes to the fittings? not interested in these?:

With only 1 DDC and 3 rads (1 a GTS), that's got to be restrictive as all hell. Making matters worse is the AGB res on the DDC.
What do you mean by restrictive? I think the flow is alright, quite fast i think.
The flow may look OK with the small round interior of the res but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was under 200 LPH. I sure hope that's a 18W pump, otherwise, your probably under 150 LPH.
The AGB res has been shown to hurt flow as shown in this topic here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=111796). The BI GTS is also known to hurt flow, mixed with 2 other rads (which are basically 4 90° elbows with thin tubing between them) as well as the blocks and you have a low flow/low pressure system. I recommend you add another pump of the same wattage and remove the AGB and add a Swiftech micro res (<-preferred recommendation) or lose at least one of the rads (preferably the GTS) and shorten the loop a little.
IMO, the best setup would be a single rad using either a TC PA120.3 or a Swifty MCR320 up top, but I'm not suggesting either of those because I know LL's aren't cheap and I'd hate to see it cut up any further, as it may look fugly if you do.
