I was hole sawing out a nice 120mm hole in the top of a shroud (steel top plate of course) when my guide bit decided it had more of my crap than it was willing to tolerate and to protest it snapped. without the guide bit, the holesaw was now singing old nancy sinatra songs -- "these boots are made for walking..."

the teeth on the holesaw promptly dug in on one side and that sucker cross walked 2 feet in about a tenth of a second.....right onto my right hand. *&(%*&$@$#

damn, that stings a little. anyway, I finished the shroud after I installed a new bit. :D

then you throw the hole saw across the room and curse at it for several minutes. really helped me when I got my hand knicked by a 3" angle grinder

ouch, suprisingly you can get really hurt with computers heh. Some people will remember when I cut my arm moving a compressor on a metal platform that had been cut with tin snips, it was BAD.

Not too bad. This case I went to the emergency room for around 5 stitches to put the webbing back together on some of my fingers. Tore it in half down into the hand too.

Last year, last case got stitches on my index 2nd knuckle right hand sliping with a screwdriver and taking all the meat off that part of the finger.

I am damm scared of power tools. When I was a teen I spend lots of time with my uncle doing all sorts of mechanical, machine, caes, trucks, construction - whatever you can think of.
I saw what power tool can do and when I use any I insanely stick to basic safety rules - never had any accidents :).
The best bit was person 'eaten' by huge combine harvester monster :)

ouch, did you need stitches??? (i looks like you have them but that could also be cuts from the holesaw;) )

that was the work of the hole saw....the pic was taken right after I got the bleeding to slow (filled it with this crap from the med cabinet that is very much like crazy glue).

I grabbed the same holesaw to cut a hole in some plexi last night -- there was still a nice hunk of flesh hanging from one of the teeth. lol.
