I have two bottles, but have never bothered using them, anti-freeze is so much cheaper...

i use it in both my rigs and have never had a problem. No...it does not stain your tubing.

It's green UV which works quite well if you don't add too much, but beware, hydrx tastes nasty (dont ask). It does make the tubing foggy; it stains it a little bit.

Yeah, I would use antifreeze but I dont want to be inhaling the fumes from my cooling tower, lol

I found that a dehumidifier treatment (algaecide) works quite well too for keeping the undesirables out.

Well, anti-freeze does work, but it also thickens your coolant, which reduces flow rates.

And anti-freeze is just that, a freeze prevention additive, water cools several times better than it does.

The Hydrex is better than anti freeze for a couple differant reasons.

1) It doesn't thicken the water reducing flow.

2). Less (by volume) is needed so you maintain a higher % of water, which improves cooling.
