Hi,

I'm looking at my ThermalTake TruePower 420w PSU, it only has a trace line on the 3.3v line. I'm trying to boost the 12v rail.

Taking the psu apart there is a small raiser card in there with a chip called a LM339N which looks like it might regulate the volts. Here's some info on the chip.

http://www.national.com/pf/LM/LM339.html

On the same small raiser card there is one of those crude, small metal and open potentometers. Does anyone know if this will affect vots or can anyone look at the LM339N spec sheet and see what it does?

Cheers

I would grab the multimeter and check the 5v and 12v rails while turning the pot to see what happens.

Take readings of both rails before turning it obviously. Turn it about a 1/4 turn and then recheck all the rails. No change, turn the pot more..check again, and so forth.

I have that same power supply. What is the actuall model # as I don't have a potentometer.
