What would be if i use aluminum evap, instead of copper evap. It's just simple for me to get some aluminim, then copper.
Thx for answer. :)

The difference in thermal proprieties are not drastic but i dont know how it handles high psi and subzero temps. Using watercooling back in the days i gain about 2C with copper.

Normally, i think it doesnt matter what to use copper or aluminum when you have -50 :), if i will cool video.

alu gets tronger when colder

so u can get a lot of psi in it

Hmm...I think compressor will blew up faster then aluminum or copper evap.

Q. is can you weld the Alu ?

Copper is easy but Alu is a different kettle of fish
while aluminium maybe more easily got do you
have the means of sealing up the evap if made
out of alu.

PMM, its one of problems, but i think i can decide it. I'm just interesting if there is big difference between copper and Alu. I suppose to use this evap on video, maybe also on NB.

Its an unknown at the mo - not aware of anyone who has
put an aluminium evap into practice.

Forget who made it but someone here maybe chilly1 has done
an aluminium evap but not aware of it being tested yet.

Alu might be a better option since its normally opperating in
a vacume where it could lend to its radiating properties of
heat more than copper.

But its all maybe's

If you have the abilities to make and correctly seal aluminium
give it a bash you never know until you try what the results
end up as.

I cant guarantee anything but i'll try to do this stuff. If i make it results will be in June-July.

As we speak right now, someone in this section(cant remember who it is)is attempting to cool a cpu to -150C under load using an all alu evap. if i find the thread ill link you up.

edit: here we go. you can see a pic of chilly1's alu evap. looks like he has some nice alu welding skills.

Thx but there is -150C and I am not so cool overclocker now, my temp will be about -50 for a one stage self made direct die. May be -70 - -80 for 2 stage system, if i will make it. I suppose alu will be worser then copper but how much worser ?
