Thermal probes + Mach 2 controller board

where on the controller board do i stick additional 2 pin thermal probes, and also how do i get the control software to load automatically with the saved fan and lcd txt options?

The fans connect to the pins to the right of where you connect the front lcd cable at the back of the unit,there should already be one connected that has 2 grey wires.
Regarding the software I'm not sure ,with mine the text always loads up but the fan speed I have to set manually at start up.

BTW:The temp probes will reprt about 20c less than they are thanks to nventiv's marketing ploy,hopefully one day they will release a bios that fixes this.

i don't believe that i'm afraid, because i can tell you that last week i was encoding with TMPGEnc at the same cpu speed/ same mobo with my vapolianli (SE) and the cpu load (with good head contact) was 17c load compared to -3c now with my Mach 2, with the front LCD temp showing -32c.

If what you say is true then the eveporator would have to be at a true -12c, but the evp temp on the SE was showing -13c at that speed. Obviously the mach 2 is giving a lower evap temp to achive the lower load temp.

Those figures dont add up - either they fixed the problem as this is a new mach 2 or that rumour is untrue :stick:

I bought a carol controller (exactly like the one on the mach1) and the temperature calibration is out by 15 degrees. I use a VR to calibrate it to my UEI Temp probe. Almost correct now at -30 is is now off by 2 degrees.

It would be nice id there were a temperature probe inside the cpu or on the mother board that were accurate also. But the MOBO prober are off a lot morn that the MACHII probes. The ones I have modded here were within 5 degrees which is within the + or - 10% range specified on the Carol control. More accurate controllers are available from carol but they are in the 150 to 200 price range.

So these extra 4 probe points actually work? cause it say on thr Nventiv sight that they were never implemented, and that was confirmed in an email I got from Nventiv support :confused: .
