i was wondering if it would be worth it for me to find someone to fix the leak or should i just throw it away. i was planning on getting a ls anyway but, it just seems like a waste to just throw it.

throwing away is a pitty..
Just sell it as broken and accept that you recieve less for it.. Although i've seen broken mach-I's sold at 250$.
Or have it fixed and refilled indeed..

how did it start leaking?
if you dont know any hvac techs you could take it to a shop and have the repairs done. probably be less expensive than replacing it.
