I'm looking at setting up a bong system (Hey, it's phase change... just really cheap phase change). And to be on the safe side I want to insulate my system. Anyone able to link me to instructions on how to go about doing this?

I seem to remember dielectric grease in the cpu socket and neoprene all around the cpu socket, but that's all. Also, is there any chance at all that water might condense outside the tubing if I do not insulate it?

a bong cooler? i geuss if you look at it, it could be seen as vapor phase change cooling

i seriously doubt youll be getting low enough temps to warrant dielectric grease and neoprene all around the socket. run your system(bong cooler with waterblocks, etc) without a heatload when its complete and see if it even needs insulation

It gets humid as hell here. What's the lowest temp difference I need to worry about condensation at?

On top of that. Im gonna use a huge bong, so the mood may strike me to dump a bag of ice in there when I want to get some nice clocks.

Also, is antifreeze going to evaporate on me, or is it safe to use an antifreeze/greenstuffkiller/water mixture and just replenish the water?

i think just a light coat of liquid eletrical tape around your cpu socket should be enough, even with ice in the res. Dont know about AF evaporating though...

Most modern antifreezes are specifically made so that they wont evaporate (molecules too heavy). But I have heard that in the open the antifreeze breaks down into Glycol and water and evaporates... if mixed with water, I've got no clue what would happen.
