Hi guys, I'm hoping that someone here on these boards may be able to help me out with a little Radeon repair. A firend of mine gave me this card after her ex sabotaged her computer. I have no idea what he did but a new video card fixed it for her and now I'd like to get this one working again. Here are some pics of the problem area.

As you can see whatever that chip is it got smoked pretty bad. When we were trying to get her pc working it would post but the monitor gave a rainbow show and that was it. I know a guy that says he can replace the chip if I find out what it is and where to get it or if there is another alternative I'd be glad to hear it.

Thnaks!

Thanks for the reply. I emailed them to see if they could get me the chip and they said the same thing. Just send it in and they'd replace it. Wish I'd have done that three months ago. Been sitting in a drawer being wasted.

Thanks again for the help though.
