My NF7-S 2.0 is totaly fried and I'm afraid the reseller will replace it with the AN7. As I heard/read terrible things about this mobo on the past I was wondering if ABIT made any major change to solve their instability problems (BIOS update, new revision, etc...)

Why I have the feeling that you guys are laughing at me? :D

Regards,

KODE.

It aint as bad as when some of the members tested it here. I've got one from the first shippment without the cut trace and I have nothing to complain about. Tops out above 230FSB (bad memory...) and rock solid in every aspect you can think of. Way better then the NF7 I had before... that sucker wouldn't even run 225 single channel stable! I wouldn't be worried, its not worse then the NF7 maybe just a little bit less good ;) but just a tiny one. Who knows maybe you get a NF7 that was as bad as mine, couldn't even prime at 166 2.9vmem 8-4-4-3.0 and 1.85vcore... _THAT_sucked...

U can do 230FSB with CPU interface enable? Cause I can do 245FSB DC 11-2-2-2 (2x512) but with CPU inter off. And CPU interOFF sucks. So this board sucks

AN7 ? don't ya mean - Hell 'N 7 ? that's the new mobo from - A BIT WORKING .....

it's funny to even consider it as a board - i had two when they came out - both were giving post codes like hell - rma'd like 5 times - till i sold one - and the dealer is refusing to rma the other one ....

now i have some abit pcb to melt down ......

I seem to remember a few people digging into me for badmouthing the AN7 when mine came dead as a doornail. Some even insinuating that I had killed it. Oh how the tides have turned.

Looks like I don´t have much options here, they will fix my NF7-S or they will give me the AN7. I can´t do much about it, that´s life...

I trust you buddy...and you don´t have to make much effort to convince me. (when 90% of the OC community starts to bash a product you better believe them). I know some people got lucky with their AN7´s but unfortunately I don´t have time for luck.

I bought one recently to replace an NF7-S...absolutely terrible. The worst purchase I've ever made.

Best I can do with CPU int enabled is 200 MHz...my RAM has done 250 MHz before. Don't waste your time or money!

seem I'm a lucky bastard then :D runing 230 dualddr wasn't a problem for me, running 220 now after I bought some other ram that really sucks!! F***ing HyperX won't even bo stable at 200 dual! My old Corsair Value S did 230 dual! The HyperX is PC3500 rated...

I just left my mobo at the reseller, they will take a look at the mobo and see what can be done.

They have the KV7 there, but with the KV7 II around the corner I think maybe It´s better pick the AN7 now (since It is more expensive) and sell it later when the KV7 II come out, what do you think?

You never know, maybe you'll get an awsome board that does 240+ unmodded, doing that on a KT600 board would be harder since you'll need a HDD that can take the higher PCI bus and a gfx that can take higher agp bus. I think you should atleast try the AN7 out, but maybe that only me....
