35W 2400+ VS 45W 2600+
Which gives better performance
What is the date code / weekly stepping available from newegg for the 2600+ and digicomproducts for the 2400+
If I dont intend going above 210 MHz, and I have BH-5 RAM, do I need to do the L12 mod

I think they are about the same. My chip is certainly a killer one but it's one of the better steppings.
I didn't need the L12 mod, 235+ without it. Some don't even reach 200 without it.
Oh, welcome to XtremeSystems :toast:

how guarenteed is a good chip? Cause I was going to spend £85  on a XP-M 2600 IQYHA 0348 XPMW stepping or something.
Worth it?

If you can get a 2600 guaranteed IQYHA I would get that. A lot of people have got not so great chips such as "T" AQYHA.
EmineM: No, most are 45W.

I have no idea. I hear people have problems with double-sided KHX3000 on NF7 also, but everything is fine for me... I guess you just gotta try and see.
