gigabyte ga-k8n ocing

im so new to amd64 platforms now...
what i would need to know from u guys that are using or have used this mobo before ....

1 - should i flash its bios to k8nnxp 940 F9?
2 - where are the options for ram timings in k8n's bios?
3 - where do i change the multis?

hit CTRL and F1 together when you are in the bios to access advanced chipset options. you can't change the multi's of the CPU unless you flash the 940 bios, also you will only be able to decrease the multi, the A64's are half locked.

thx for the hidden option though...
i tried flashin the bios to k8nnxp 940 bios....
but when i got into qflash...
it said space not enough...

n there is oni 2 choice...
f5=Refresh and F?=Delete

difference of 256kb on the bios works?..
any guides to flash it?

To my knowledge you can't flash k8nnxp bios to a k8n (non-pro).

yea got that wrong.... :) ....
any advise on bios setting for stability?...

im running 230x10 on 1.5vcore...stable
but when i change it to 255 x 9..prime fails straight away
down to 240 x 9 same result failed....235 x 9 also failed
230 x 9 works...
im on ddr500 auto ... ldt 2.5x .....
anyone else encountered this problem?
