OK so my card looks like this one: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-294&depa=1

Only i have a 9700 pro lol...and i was wondering if this blower: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-129-025&depa=1
with the zalman heatpipe hs on my card, would be better then a silencer alone. Thanks

well those zalmons dont really perform well ...for their size. i wud recommend getting a big 120mm fan blowing over it, instead of that blower ...which will probably be loud and not blow a lot.

The Zalman ZM80C is a POFS :stick:

I had a the ZM80C on my 9800 PRO with a smartfan 2 blowing over it. At full RPM (bout' 80CFM) i could bench at 450/380 with quite bad core artifacts.

Bought a VGA silencer same conditions 460/390 less artifacts enough said :toast:

Grab an Arctic Cooling VGA cooler from SVC, they are having a sale on Rev. 2 VGA Silencers. $9.99 with coupon code coolproductshotprices

definately I decent cooler for the cash, and it will do much better than the zalman..

Screw them both. Buy a the quietest all copper 1u heatsink you can find, drill mounting holes and then try not to hump your sexy new heatsink.
