I've got a Prescott 2.4A and its really a wonderfull cpu I've been able to get 3.6Ghz (1.625v) 18x200 watercooled and passed thru prime 95 tests (3740Mhz on superpi and stuff like that) eventoght the temperature are high has hell 49-50º on cpu and the PWM temperatures hit 120ºC (already have 6 fans on the case and a huge 120mm and heatsinks on moffets and have been able to drop to 80-90ºC). But the problem is that at these speeds the pc doesnt boot from a cold start I have to disconect the pc several times (2-3 times) and then it starts at deffault (18x133), I already tryed droping the cpu speed to 3.4Ghz and 1.513v and the same thing happens. I dont think its a stability problem since it passes several hours of prime I've also tryed to set the voltage to 1.488v and at this voltage it seems to boot normaly from cold start. Has anyone had this problems with abit AI7 ? Becausse at 1.488v 3.4Ghz prime fails in first minuts I have to set it at 1.513 to be able to pass in prime at this speeds.
I'm starting to think that I should get a new board 120ºC in PWM temperatures, this problems with voltages maybe a Asus P4P800 would be perfect for me no fan on northbridge (no noise) and since this has a multiplier of 18x I wont need much more tham 200Mhz on the fsb, wich is in chip7 specs.
